Honestly, I don't know. It needs to start with Rick Smith as he has drafted like fucking ass for the better part of 10 years and made plenty of bonehead contract decisions, but really, who knows. He's supposedly in real tight with the owner and his heir-apparent son, so I think he has some type of unspoken secret lifetime contract. They just don't even look like they're trying half the time. It's just pathetic.

"Oh, Brian Cushing is coming off a shredded ACL? Sounds like he's due for a contract extension."

Glad there are 2 competent teams in this city. Unfortunately the football team isnt one of them.

Not sure what else to say about the Texans at this point. Yesterday was the third different time this season I've watched a game and thought "This may be the worst game by the Texans that I've seen." And they still have to play Cincinnati, the Jets, and New England. Patriots could conceivably put up 80 points. This is fucking bush league, expansion level play. Missed tackles all over the field, dropped passes, and a fucking crybaby back up QB missing the team charter flight to Miami. This is just a clown shoes dumpster fire on every conceivable level.
Hey, the Cincy game is MNF so don't lose hope. Also the Bengals can never beat the Texans.

Never thought I'd see the day when the Astros are considered one of the competent teams.

Astros really aren't that far away from their last relevance. Weren't they in the WS just last decade? We're not talking forty years of darkness here.

They were in the World Series in 2005. It wasn't that long ago, it just seems like it was because the bad times were REAL FUCKING BAD.

UH reminds me of when Cincinnati went undefeated and played Florida in the Sugar Bowl and got our shit pushed in so mercilessly it would make a prisoner blush

The short-lived glory days of UC football. We suck again. Great offense. Horrible, horrible defense.

So that all happened during the special teams huddle, funny. I wish Hardy would murder the fucking offensive coaching staff

"Greg Hardy is such a passionate player. He's all over the place. He's in the defensive huddle, the offensive huddle, and today he made our special teams huddle. I was a little surprised he was in there," Hardy said according to the Associated Press. "I didn't realize who it was. Then I realized it was Greg. He was showing his passion that we gave up the lead and we needed to fix it.

Palmer's looking sharp so far tonight. It's going to be sad when he breaks his leg mowing the lawn in week 12. It makes me wish that we could put him in cryogenic stasis during the week and just defrost him a couple hours before game time.
