At least you guys know where you stand. I think my team is fucked for the foreseeable future, but I won't know for certain until they shit the bed against the Vikes this week. I think McFatty might have finally managed to break Rodgers with his terrible game planning and lack of adjustments. Rodgers looks like he did the first season, with the happy feet, holding the ball to long, and off target touch passes. It is fun to listen to all the retarded GB homers who wanted to string up Capers shut the fuck up after the third straight week of the offense looking like run-run-pass-punt Forest Greg years all over again. I seriously think that the NFC Championship game loss, entirely due to coaching error, has made the entire team check out on McCarthy, including Rodgers. Losing play calling privileges as head coach is usually not a good sign. I mean, what is he going to focus on exactly, his Andy Reed level clock management skills? Second HOF caliber QB that McFatty has ended, if this is the case. But as bad as that loss was, I think losing to the Lions at home, the way they did, might be the low point for this team for over two decades. McCarthy has no competitive edge. This team should have rolled all over the hapless Lions at home to bounce back from the two embarrassing efforts that preceeded this game, but instead only the D actually showed up to play.
I will of course continue to support my beloved Packers, but I am not getting emotionally invested with them until they can McFatty and preferably Teddy the Ghost along with him. Ten years of having the youngest team and highest cap space does not make you a genius and there are not any trophies for that shit. It really is just throwing away potential to not try and plug some holes when you have had over two decades of HOF level QBs and only two SB wins (one being a fluke) to show for it.
Not to belittle how much it sucks to be a Cowboy fan this season, but at least you guys know you are fucked. Most Packer fans live in this delusion sustained by a good QB and a weak division, including me until the moment they shit the bed against Detroit at home. But the reality is that McFatty has finally wrecked this team and won't be canned until far too late because when you win a SB (even one under ridiculously lucky circumstances), you are Jesus in title town. So we are stuck with the Eli Manning of head coaches and a never ending string of 11ish win seasons and division titles that never quite makes it to the next level, except of course Eli actually managed to win two rings....
