To be fair, two of the turn overs were caused by refs and led to two touchdowns

The pass Defense still sucks and that's why they lost. The final turnover by the Steelers was one of the ones where this guy who used to be an NFL ref is saying "No way this is a catch." and cited several other plays this year. Then the on field Ref comes in and says "Definitely a catch". If the Refs can't even consistently figure out what is and is not a catch then how can you not change the rules to make it clear?
You think "The call stands" is the same as "definitely a catch"?

That "bobbled the ball for a millisecond" no-catch call seemed pretty horseshit too. Without replay, that'd be a catch 100% of the time. But rules are rules.

Gabbert isnt an awful player. He showed that in college. Obviously it doesny always translate but he has a decent arm and can actually scan the field.

He isnt a bonafide starter imo but a servicable backup. The 49ers cant go into next season with Gabbert as the guy can they????

I have a theory that Kaepernick just doesn't know what to do with a dogshit team and that magnifies his flaws wheras Gabbert fits in perfect with an off the rails mess because that's all he knows.
Kaepernick doesn't know how to play behind a subpar offensive line. Gabbert on the other hand knows nothing but running for his life every play.

I agree with this. I think Kaep needs to be surrounded by weapons.

Yes, the Pats lost a game, on the road, in overtime, in the snow, after a short week and a brutal physical game, with half their team hurt and the footballs and refs calls all not going their way. Its the NFL. But hey.... Road to the Super Bowl is still going to go through Foxboro.
Holy fuck, just say "yes we lost, one team was better yesterday and it wasn't us", instead of that pathetic excuse train.

Hypocrisy, Inc.

When another team loses it's because they clearly suck. When the Pats lose it's because of a myriad amount of reasons, not because the other team was better.

Yea, I think its fair to say our O-Line was decimated (then losing Hightower had a huge impact on our defense).

Some absolutely ridiculous calls that negated yardage and gave the Broncos some serious advantage.

And even with all that, it still took overtime for the game to be decided. No, we didn't get beat by a better team, we got beat by the refs in the end.

I guess this isn't roughing the passer:

I guess this is only a penalty when the Pats do it:

Or this hold on the game winning run:

Man can only hope the pats keep losing, the entertainment from their "fans" when they do is worth more then watching the games.

It's either a catch or it's not a catch. There are two possible out comes. The ref made the call one way. So yes, it's definitely a catch because the ref said it was a catch.
Call stands means it's too close to call so they're not changing it. Call confirmed would mean it's definitely a catch.

As for penalties:

NE- 5-47 DEN- 6-46

Completely lopsided penalties there, it's obviously a conspiracy

For whatever reason the Bengals dress defensive linemen that don't see the field yet we have like 2 corners and we refuse to cut our shit-tier DLs to make room to sign more corners

Newsflash Marvin Lewis:MARGUS HUNT SUCKS FUCKDICK AND WILL NEVER MAKE IT IN THE NFL
We really need to give up on that guy. I was ever-hopeful but after last year and how it appears he's made next to no progress this season I'm ready to cut our losses there. The Bengals could really use more CB depth after the Dennard injury. It already sucks knowing that Tate will likely return every kick going forward - which means a touchback is about the best we can hope for.

I'm still not sold on Kirkpatrick. Dude is Jekyll and Hyde with his play. Yesterday was great, but then there will be weeks where he's about five feet from his receiver most of the day. Time to bring back Chris Crocker?
