By the way, this totally feeds into the Seattle narrative. You guys are such a faggot franchise. "Abloo abloo we're the Legion of Boom!"

You're fags that won one Super Bowl ever and Antwan Randal El is your nightmare. Fuck you, you fucking faggot second-rate nobody organization. Have fun with that couch you're sitting on right now,

Gurley makes sense, especially in the second half of the season. Pretty easy to make a case for Tom Brady as well. As much as I hate for things to go well for the pats, it doesn't seem right that he only has 2 mvp awards when Peyton had 5.

Everyone knows Peyton is 2.5x as great as Tom Brady.

ESPN just released an article about the Patriots and Belechick and it's fascinating.

So long story short, Brady has been more and more influenced by his personal hollistic guru and trainer, Alex Guerrero. Tom has embraced the whole TB12 initiative, releasing a book and encouraging fellow teammates to seek treatment from his guy.

This caused friction with Belichick as it began a conflict between the Patriots training staff and Toms "guy". This lead to Guerrero being banned from team facilities recently.

This all happened under the cloud of Brady's insistence that he was going to play until he was 45. Belechick wanted to move on from Brady, and usher in Jimmy G for the 2018 season.

Kraft said no. So Bill was pissed and traded Jimmy for a bag of chips and told Brady's cult buddy to go fuck himself.

Word around the league is Bill might have coached his final regular season game. He has openly praised Garaopollo on his success in San Francisco... the writing is on the wall.

Darth Bill wanted to trade in his Sith apprentice for a new one to show everyone that the success in New England is because of him, and not just Brady. A couple successful years with Jimmy G and he gets it done. Instead Tom won and has been seen openly hugging Kraft and being abrasive to others in the organization.

Young players are calling him "sir" for god fucking sake, and he has recently claimed that hydrating properly can prevent sunburn. The guy is cooked and Belichick recognized it and wanted to move on. He is clashing with the Patriot Way by basically being a player/management type who's legend status is clashing with the no nonsense hard work approach Belichick demands.

If the Pats don't win Super Bowl Belichick is leaving. As a 49er fan this is literally mana from heaven. The best football mind in a generation has tabbed Garoppolo as a franchise QB and shipped him there for basically nothing as a fuck you to Kraft.

The numbers don't lie. 49ers were 3rd in the league on offense with Jimmy, lead the league in YPA, were 2nd in passing yards and 4th in ppg. They were near the bottom of the league in all those categories previously.

So now we have some context to frame the rise of Garoppolo and it feels amazing. The guy was playing with a chip on his shoulder, when he got hurt in NE, Brady's personal trainer denied him treatment. Tom was also not mentoring him. This situation is more fucked up (great) than I thought.

Wow. That's a hell of an article. Seems like a sad way for the dynasty to end if that's what is happening, but as a football fan I will be very happy for the Pats to become just another football team.

Guerrero says he received a degree in traditional Chinese medicine from the now-closed Samra University of Oriental Medicine

Sounds super legit. It's pretty funny if California boy Tom Brady blew up the team over classic California hippy bullshit. I bet Guerrero gets death threats from Pats fans over this article.

This will all make a good 30 for 30 documentary in a few years with zero interviews from Belichick.

The Patriots are the clear favorite this year....

But next year they have an over-40 QB, no succession plan, and their coaching staff looks like it will be completely raided.

I have no idea if anything in that article is accurate or not, but if Darth Bill wanted to get back at his QB/Owner who didn't have his back OR just wanted to polish his legacy by showing people how bad things are without him, this would be the year to leave.

re that espn report
Patriots released a Joint Statement from Kraft Brady and Belichick
“For the past 18 years, the three of us have enjoyed a very good and productive working relationship," the statement reads. "In recent days, there have been multiple media reports that have speculated theories that are unsubstantiated, highly exaggerated, or flat out inaccurate. The three of us share a common goal. We look forward to the enormous challenge of competing in the postseason and the opportunity to work together in the future, just as we have for the past 18 years. It is unfortunate that there is even a need for us to respond to these fallacies. As our actions have shown, we stand united.”

You expected them to say something different? I am not saying the article is true. I feel about this article the same way I felt about the one done about the Seahawks last year or the year before about how the locker room is fractured over the SB loss/Russ not being black enough etc etc. No way we ever know the actual truth of whats going on there. That statement however is the PR equivalent to Belichick's patented "We are on to Denver" statement.

There is bound to be some truth in there, especially when you hear the browns offered more for Jimmy G yet he ends up with the 49'ers. Just how much is true will probably never be known

There were reports that Garoppolo was offered 17 to 18 million a year to stay in NE for 3 or 4 years and he declined.

He has the same agent as Brady, which makes this story even more bizzare.

Then there are whispers that the Pats were offered 2! First rounders or a package that was way better than what the 49ers gave NE in the off-season but the Pats weren't interested. This was less than 6 months ago.

So there has to be some truth to this story. Not long ago the Patriots, the best team over the past 20 years, the most ruthless GM etc weren't taking offers for Jimmy because they covered him and he was part of the long term plans.

Then all of the sudden he is gone on Haloween for a 2nd round pick. And why would he turn down a huge raise from the team that drafted him and he becomes the next Aaron Rogers?

He must have felt jaded or knew what was coming. Either way he leveraged himself out as Brady's behavior was and is CLEAR he plans to play for MANY more years. So there wasn't room for him there AND Belichick wanted to keep him and MAKE room.

Like I said if you are a 49er fan this is mind blowing information. If Bill traded Jimmy in good faith then he is Matt Cassel 2.0 But he didn't, he actually believed this guy could be the franchise.

I think Brady will win this year. Some of the voters are going other ways though.

Most people assume Brady will win. And I honest can't argue against it. That being said I am seeing more and more preliminary votes and sports writers/athletes voting Gurley. Gotta say I'd love it.

10-year contract for Gruden. That seems way to long.

That is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. Unless he is the 2nd coming of Bill Belichick, which I am quite sure we all know he isn't.

gurley might get it just to spite "the patriots" but frankly, in my opinion he isn't the best player on his Team(that player is on defense).

currently the MVP trophy is for the most valuable player...who is a QB or RB.

brady will get it but it will be a split vote with him just getting more overall votes.

heck Wilson in my opinion this year was a more Valuable Player to the Seahawks than Gurley was to the Rams.
