I can see Stafford wanting to leave the Lions pending on who they get for GM/Coach. Hell, I could see him wanting to leave regardless just to play on a team that's not the Lions. If that's the case it would make a lot of sense for the 49'ers to pursue him. If Jimmy G is gonna available I wouldn't discredit a return to NE for him.

Well, most people have Saleh all but guaranteed to go to the Lions. If that is the case the 49ers will have a nice connection with them, and maybe they can work out some sort of deal.

We will see what comes with the offseason.

They had the option and still chose Tua. He fits what they want to do. Tua will do well with more tools and an offseason to improve.

Herbert on the other hand, I'm worried for. Herbert was destroyed by Belichick. What do you think other teams will do next year with a full year of his work to dissect? With Lynn as his coach? I feel for Chargers fans and Herbert. They might ruin that kid like they did Felipe. He had to fuck all the time just to stop the PTSD.
