Its easy to point at the receivers and the offense and say that it was a no-brainer for Brady on weapons, but I think there's more to it than just that. You could tell last year that the defense was good but young/raw and the main thing that kept that defense from being great was average starting position of the opponent. It wasn't just that Jameis turned it over - very rarely were any of those turnovers inside their own territory; the defense was playing a ton more goal to go situations compared to most other teams in the league because of where Jameis turned it over.

Don't get me wrong, it helps a *ton* that Brady doesn't turn the ball over as much. But I'd argue that even when Brady has turned the ball over (as evidence in the Packers game) that the defense wasn't put in a bad position after, which allowed them to perform way better than last year. Hell didn't Green Bay only score 6 points off 2 picks? And those were hard earned points because they had to go down the length of the field to do it. Brady gets picked on deep bombs near the endzone; Jameis gets picked in mid-field on a shallow route - huge difference

you know what is fucking annoying? KCI is really MCI, and everyone calls it MCI and it's printed MCI on your ticket stubs but the fucking highway signage is KCI, so when youre driving at 4am, youre like WTF!!!

also, it's superbowl weekish, soon where are the avatar bets?

imagine Bucs winning the SB on a Succop FG as time expires. That would be the greatest Mr. Irrelevant story of all times. Not to mention that he was drafted by the Chiefs which will make it even more brilliant. If you're not a Chiefs fan, this is the only storyline for SB. Fuck Brady, fuck Mahomes, fuck dynasty bah blah blah.

This game is basically going to come down to who has the slower start. Once one team is up by two scores, thats probably game. To that end, while I think KC has more talent in key areas, they also are notoriously slow starters. On the other hand, Brady seems to spot good teams a couple of picks lately. I think this might be too close to call. But I think Tampa has a slight edge, between essentially it being a home game and momentum. But this is a game that could go either way, but the victor will win by 10.

Considering KC has seemed to spot everyone these last two playoffs (other than Cleveland) 2 scores at the start, I don't think they should ever be counted out completely. I'm a little curious to see what happens if KC ever has a playoff game that goes completely right for them...not going down 2 scores or having Mahomes get hurt midgame. I do think Brady and Tampa have a chance in this game, because they can score to stick with KC's offense (maybe), but it's possible Mahomes/Kelce/Hill just never stop all day, and KC's D comes up with enough to slow down or pick off Brady that they just pull away.

Tampa's D-Line is probably the toughest one KC has faced and might be the best in football. I think if TB wins, that will be why.

Could be, they did already face them once and beat them, along with Denver's twice, the Ravens early in the season, the Saints, and they beat Cleveland already. Tampa's pass D has improved this year, but KC is just a different beast to contain.

We’re playing Goat Brady so I won’t feel comfortable even with a 28 point lead. (And that’s not happening lol)

kc usually starts slow so i can see them being down at halftime by 14pts easy.

its how FAST kc can score that is the issue

the key to beating KC is YOUR offense keeping the ball, and scoring points each time you have the ball.

that said, i am thinking more of the pats eagles game both teams score ~35+- barring major injuries to brady/mahomes/hill/kelsey.

This Super Bowl will be crazy. Both teams have the proven ability (well Tom anyway) to come back hard. A 4 score lead will not be safe in the 4th lol.

Tom anyway? Wasn't Mahomes the first QB ever to come from at least 10 down in 3 straight playoff games last year?

Your right, i was trying to exclude the rest of the Bucs in my comment about "comebacks" not Mahomes.

There are 4 QB's i never count out in the 4th even if they are down 3 scores with only 4min to go. .... Rogers, Wilson, Brady and now Patty M.

I have to say, Rodgers stats in those situations are not great. Unless he's playing the Cowboys.
