How's he eating crow? Only die hard Patriot crazies think Goodell actually has it in for Brady and that Deflategate wasn't because he actually, you know, cheated.

I am not a Patriots fan and I don't agree. He has been avoiding Foxboro.

Deflategate was bullshit. Science showed it was bullshit and the story only escalated because of bullshit info up front (ie, the "omg all the balls are 2 PSI under!" that turned out to be fake but people still think is true). The NFL office is full of diehard Pats haters and most of the other owners are constantly salty about the Pats. They have Lumie-levels of paranoia about that team to the point that they probably think Belichick can alter the time-space continuum to get what he wants.

Goodell had to appease the masses (ie, the other salty owners), so they pushed hard. Then when the Pats kept fighting back, it morphed into Goodell wanting to make sure he can slap anyone with the commissioner dick when he wants. In the end it just became a power struggle.

One of the guys on my team is a hardcore Pats fan. He's been rubbing it in to all the Cowboys and Alabama fans this year. I told him if the Pats lose its going to be hellish for him haha.
