No, I think they've been trying to make up for fucking up game 2 or they're just plain incompetent. Most analysts seem to agree the delay of game penalty when a team is already down a man is a poor rule and causes far too many 5 on 3's. (leading directly to the first goal in game 6 and obviously in the Kings favor in game 2)
Disallowing an obvious goal and make up calls = bad officiating, but apparently I shouldn't say anything because Merrith says so.

Most people agree delay of game is stupid regardless of the situation. Especially on rolling pucks or hitting pucks out of midair (not to mention all the times they miss it actually deflecting off a player or the glass).
Make up calls are part of hockey, this isn't some new thing they just started doing this year in the playoffs. It's the inconsistency of the legit calls and the makeup calls that drive us all crazy.
Say all you want bro, I'm just pointing out that you really, really get on the officiating (both for the Kings and the Rams). Don't be rustled, Game 7 is at home, you're good. Although that didn't work for the Caps in the other series where the home team won the first 6 games.

The usual reason for a quick whistle. Ref fucked up and assumed the goalie had the puck frozen. Like every other quick whistle in the playoffs. Obviously it's a big play in that game, but the whole game would change at that point if it went from 2-0 to 2-1. Sharks might have tightened up, etc. Shitty early whistle, but impossible to say it absolutely would have played out the same way and cost the Kings the game. Calls affect games, but it's extremely rare that they decide them.
Believe me I don't want the delay of game penalty in the game either. Should be treated like icing, draw in your defensive end and you don't get to make any line change.

I've not disagreed in the slightest there have been some poor calls in the series, I simply pointed out the fact you've been bitching about the officiating far more than anyone else, and it's something I've noticed you doing even back on foh during Rams games.
