I hate the hawks, even more so after living in Chicago in 2010. "yeah man I love the hawks, I just refused to follow them because of bill wirtz. Yeah, Toes is my favorite player". But their start this year is insane, even more when you consider Corey fucking Crawford is top 5 in gaa and sv%

Scrivens back to back shutouts:Leafs 3-O vs Panthers.
Now tied for first in fighting majors.
Best road start in 70 years-useless triva.
Colton Orr over 9 mins TOI-probably end up winning Lady Bing & Selke.
STILL UNDEFEATED IN OVERTIME.

I'd honestly be happy for Leafs fans right now...I just worry that the team is getting your hopes up only to crush them later.

Ask Tom Brady about how meaningful undefeated regular seasons are.

Devils are really pissing me off. They are playing the type of game that causes televisions to be broken. Same with Islanders. Islanders show up to play against New York area teams and they had a chance to really bury and demoralize the Flyers this afternoon, and instead they don't bother to show up.
You bet. Undefeated in the regular season, get your ass handed to you in the game that counts. Thatmeanssomething, man.
You do realize how ridiculous the 2 of you sound when comparing hockey to football?

You know, the sport that has 82 games in a season vs 16. And 4 playoff series that are best-of-7 instead of single game elimination?

Even regardless of the record, the Hawks are steamrolling over every playoff team in the NHL right now. Most of their games have been against last year's playoff teams and on the road. But since its rustled your jimmies so much, I'll just keep mentioning the undefeated season until someone ends it.

I hear ya, after seven years I just take in all in stride anyways. We don't have a cup team, but playoffs are a good possibility as long as the goalie(s) hold up.A vet goalie and a top line center is all we need really.

Oilers play Kings tonight. Yakupov might want to keep his head up just a little more then usual tonight. I hope Krueger is bringing in the big guys to help out our little rookie though.

Duchene >Oilers.
Edmonton has no defence, can't win a faceoff and are getting pushed around.
Just catching up on the thread, and figured this needs to be quoted.

Suck my dick. All I saw on Saturday was an Avalanche team that was completely outclassed by the Oilers. I missed the first period, but otherwise, it looked like an NHL vs an AHL team. Were it not for shoddy goaltending in the first period by Dubnyk and a pretty good game by Varlamov, that might have been a double digit blow out.

The regular season is nice and all, but it's fucking moronic to be throwing around claims of them "as the greatest in the last decade, maybe two decades" when we're ~15 games in to what is normally an 82 game season, as you so helpfully pointed out. Let's see how things look in June before we start tossing around those kind of claims.

Avs 3 Oilers 1 at the end of the first period? I just got home, popped open NHL.com and thought I was looking at a score from the 3rd period... then I realized the Avs were actually up 3/0 and became even more shocked.

Strange, what do you call 3 shootout losses? They don't have any regulation losses, sure, but they are not undefeated. If they are, the term has lost all meaning.
Ties? It would be different if it were a loss in ot. It is stretcheing the word to the limit though.

I think we can confidently say now that the 2013 Blackhawks team is better than the 83-84 Oilers team.

Ok I dont actually mind the Blackhawks but this statement is beyond retarded. We are 15 ish games into the season and you already say the team is better then the 83-84 Oilers. Has Chicago already won the Stanley Cup? Did Toews break 200 points? Has Kane gone on a 50+ game point streak? Did they finish the regular season already 1st in the NHL? Have 5 players finished with more then a point per game total?
