It was rough. Stayed all the way through, never leave a game early. Congrats StoiC, Rangers deserved it. We had nothing for them tonight. Holtby had a rough night, not that it mattered when you get shut out back to back in Game 6 and 7. Lundy was great, although I don't feel like he had to be as good tonight as last night. I just don't have anything else...we didn't deserve to win it.
Honestly this is the 4th time in 6 years I've been in the building for a Game 7 loss...but knowing what happened to the Leafs fans tonight...I'm trying to not feel as bad.
Capitals are now 2-5 all time when holding a 2-0 series lead in the playoffs. You wonder why all Caps fans you know Grimm always expect the hammer to fall...this is why.

Chicagov. Detroit - 'hawks in 6...I think Detroit will put up a fight, but Chicago will be too much in the end
LAv. San Jose - Kings in 7...I just think this series will end up going the distance for whatever reason
Pittsburghv. Ottawa - Pens in 6...I think Ottawa has enough to take a game or two, but this series won't be as close as Isles/Pens was
Bruins v.Rangers- Rangers in 7...It's Lundy's year to make something happen
Don't know if I'll watch the first couple games of Round 2, tonight sucked. But I'm expecting some really good series. You were right Araysar, we couldn't beat a non Southeast team.

Hey I expect you to hate us and root against us...although it's a little weird when it's against the Rags, but I can never tell some Pens fans hate us as much as we hate them, some hate the Flyers/Rags as much or more. Believe me, I've been watching since '87, the 90's and losing 6 of 7 series to you guys then are still fresh in my mind, I remember it all.
Tonight was probably almost as bad as 4 years ago (to the day even I believe...go figure) against you guys in the 6-2 loss at home in Game 7. At least we didn't get shutout in back to back games to get dumped out of the playoffs in that series though. I'd love to blame Ovechkin for this, and he deserves plenty, but too much of the night like other years he looked like the only guy who even gave a shit. Holtby picked the wrong night to have his really bad playoff game, that's for sure.
Honestly at this point, the only teams I wouldn't mind winning the Cup are the Kings, Sharks, or Sens.
