I feel like the Canucks are trying to trick me into thinking they're actually going to be contenders this year. I fully expected another season of boring uninspired hockey, but their free agents and new coach have really made a difference so far.

It took a majestic team like the Rangers to put a stop to that silly win streak. Doubt the pens will ever recover from such a fine display of badassery.

It's really shitty how most of the TSN games now are region restricted. Hating this new TV deal.

It's crazy because Girardi is 6'1/205 lbs of robot meat. I swear the guy never gets hurt and geno ran through him like nothing. Only good thing about that game was him NOT getting injured from that hit.

Olli Maatta played 20 minutes tonight, a week after having a tumor removed. Pens won 4-0, they've had shutouts the last three games he's played and 4 of the last 5 with him. Pens are +29 goal differential in 17 games, next highest is Tampa at +19 in 20 games. Regular Season Champions!!!

Also this was the Sabres back up tonight.

Wow havent seen Arturs in goal in a long time! Just as I though going into the season the Sabres are the worst team in hockey. I miss the Pat LaFontaine, Alexander Mogilny, Dale Hawercuk, Dave Andreychuk days.

Ignoring the obvious(SID #1!!!), look at how fucking young the top forward talent is. Top 15 on that list are under 30. Ovie and Geno are the old men of the top 10, at 29 and 28. NHL is so packed with crazy talent right now, I love it.


I tend to forget that Stamkos is so young, the same age as Tavares. Also, holy fuck Tavares is in his 6th season already! I swear to God it was like 2 seasons ago when he was the hot young rookie...
