One thing I don't fault Leafs for is their passion. I despise our fandom sometimes and the lack of passion compared to the other big markets.

I was a Red Wings fan growing up in the 90s playing roller hockey watching The Mighty Ducks. I remember getting a franchise here and being excited as fuck. I remember our first cup win, the absolute devastation of the 2019 series, and everything in between. Not to mention the back to back which was so special because the first one felt like it didn't count without the fans. It was the ultimate redemption arc.

Lol, I know I get upset daily that I hit over 40 and never seen a cup run, its stupid. I wasn't trying to insult, but if there isnt shit talking then it isnt the NHL playoffs which is why I love this sport. None of the other NA leagues really have this which is why its so special to me to be able to do it.

There is a universe where Toronto beats Tampa, to then beat the Bruins for all the times they did, to beat Carolina for riding Arthus Irbe to an impossible goalie statline of a SV. 962 to beat LA for high sticking Gilmour. Yea its improbable but if the Leafs ever win a cup again it will be something stupid like that.

Toronto didn't deserve these 2 games but its amazing to be on the receiving end of these wins, vs. what happened against Montreal.

So does he get suspended or no? He's a star, ref didn't blow the whistle yet, but the puck isn't even near them. McCann confirmed out for at least 1 game.

Honestly I think the refs got that one right. The hit looked clean despite being away from the puck, so interference seems like the right call to me. Sucks that McCann got injured.

I dunno. Puck was out of play, both players knew that, so he was not at all expecting to be hit. It was dirty in that way. If the puck was still on the ice in the zone it would have been a different story, and that hit wouldn't have resulted in injury. I think it's dirty as all get out, and I think he should have been given a misconduct.

Oh I agree that the hit should not have happened. I'm just saying that it looked clean had McCann been a legal target. No headshot or obvious intent to injure.

Had McCann not been injured, very few fucks would be given IMHO.

That was a cheapshot hit for sure. If it was anyone other than Makar, that would of been a major and could be a suspension. Even the ref on the broadcast said it should of been a major. But as is tradition, the reffing in the playoffs this year have been shit.

Gotta say I respect the fuck outta that Toronto team. After McJesus, AM is the most deserving player for the cup. If we got a EDM vs TOR SCF I'd be pretty happy. Those redirects on Vasy are just straight filthy. Fuckers

It's all the old, retired Canadians that live in Florida during the winter that keeps their numbers up. The younger folks are still in Canada.
