this is not a real switch 2 just a 3d printed (with magnets) replica from someone who has the release version or something
so basically its a more powerful switch. and by more powerful, i mean like PS4 Pro level with DLSS. and there is a new button on the controller (POWA)

Meh I guess? If they are making Nintendo games backwards compatible then I guess I'll wait to upgrade. Or for that matter wait in general since MK and Smash Bros are the only games we play on it and MK8 still works fine and the last SB was just too much junk to play through. They'd have to really upgrade both of them and add a lot more.

I wonder if I should day 1 purchase this for the off-chance that someone hacks a day 1 model for homebrew.
I'd love to be able to deal with that any time my kids want a new game vs spending like 60 dollars for a game and then possibly more for the micro-trans shit they beg for and I never buy.

Never owned a switch, but figured I'd eventually get one to play with my son when he gets a little older. Was holding out until the unveiling, might get an OLED while it's on sale.

The best part of the Switch 2 is going to be the new storage which is almost as fast as the Series X|S's SSD. There's so many Switch games I've either bought with huge regrets or went with a different platform because of how slow the SD storage is. Performance-wise, they play just fine, but the load times are unbearable.
I still hate the idea of supporting Nintendo's return to a shitty LCD screen, but aside from Balatro almost all my playtime on my OLED Switch these days is docked so it doesn't make sense to pass up the massive performance upgrade for games I already own but never played because it was just unbearably bad. Looking at you Bayonetta 3, along with my entire collection of Legend of Heroes physical carts.

Have not pre-ordered a system or game in a long time... but I am thinking to make sure to pre-order this guy.
I just want a new 3D Mario and a new Mario Kart and I'm sold.....been way too long.

They ever fix the Joycon drift issues with dirt getting in there or whatever it was that was causing it?
I like the magnetic connection over the rails. I’m not really sure how much more they can improve this thing as a portable system so the official release will be interesting to see. I’ll be a bit disappointed if OLED isn’t going to be standard or a day 1 release option as you would think having an OLED screen is one of those things that would be a given on your flagship portable gaming system but it looks like rumors are suggesting otherwise.
No matter what the switch2 is it’s Nintendo so it’s going to print money, but to get me to “upgrade” they’re going to have to put forth a pretty convincing argument as to why I should move on from the OG switch to the same exact thing that’s just slightly stronger, faster, and bigger. One way to do that would have a killer list of exclusive titles like a new Zelda, Mario, ect that takes full advantage of the improved specs and pushes the system to the limit but there hasn’t been any rumors of anything like that, has there?

Switch 2 is using Hall Effect sensors which should be immune to drift.
