Im hearing this same thing from a lot of reviewers and 6 mins to go, I haven't been this torn in awhile on a game. I'm eager for something new to play this weekend but there clearly are some warning signs.

I am afraid to say until I get this installed. My system plays ARK pretty well and a few others that are new with the 960 4g.
I hear that Blazin, I am going into it knowing there is going to be repetition. I have a 2 years old and I am a SAHD now so I only get like 20-45 minutes a session to play anything so it will take me a tone of time to get through this one.

Wife is going to be gone all weekend so I just decided to say "Fuck it. I'll binge." I actually just walked into a Gamestop and picked up a copy (figured I could trade it in if I hated it, as opposed to digital), and left without buying it. As much as I like the premise, I just can't get past the reported shortcomings for $60. It's not looking good on Metacritic.

It's a no brainer at $30 I think and it's not that I really care about the money but I hate to promote companies charging $60 for games that don't earn it.

Long as they deliver some free updates before DLCing it to death, I'm okay at 60 bucks.

Yeah, like I said before, I would absolutely pick it up at $30. I think it is worth that as a technical demonstration and it seems to have a lot of potential. I also don't have any financial concerns but I just object to the AAA price on principal. If I'm going to pay AAA, I expect a lot of depth. As in "Holy SHIT it's 3am!". I'm looking at you Civ 5. And X-Com.

Yeah you either will really love this game or hate it. No middle ground. If you like relaxed immersion type experiences, it's probably the best thought out game I have seen since Star Flight. People expecting PvP twitch story hand holding are going to hate it.

Yeah I figured my kids would dig it so I bought it on ps4 for them and then played it on mine for a few days.
I much prefer pc though.
First game I've done that for since Fallout 4.

You can have a great weekend with this... however i don't see the point in playing much more myself, once you have seen a few pretty planets and explored a few caves, you kinda seen em all.
Maybe in the future mods or DLC will add more to the aliens you see, space stations and settlements.
