I actually liked the Northman more on the second viewing. It's so different from his first couple films and I think it was a different movie than the one I was expecting, so I couldn't 100% just enjoy it for what it was the first time. It is indeed an awesome viking movie

Guys who don't like Northman probably suffer from low T. Movie is worth it for the Berserker Ritual alone.

I'm not a horror movie person, but the Lighthouse was the first thing of his I saw since the husband wanted to go see it. It was so damn bizarre, but was so well done and just lovingly crafted, even though these aren't really movies made for me, I'll still watch it. Watched the Witch, which was also fantastic and saw this as well. Maybe ran a taaad long, but otherwise, once again, so well made. At this point I will watch anything he makes at least once just to appreciate the talent and care that goes into his movies.

Lighthouse is fucking WILD if you're high.

I'm not typically a fan of "horror" type movies, but high? Fuckin' love em.

I rewatched it sober and found it to be pretty meh. But like I said, I find horror to be meh in general unless I'm high.

Northman is fucking badass both ways, however.

Lighthouse was like... Entertainingly bizarre in my book. I'd watch it again as a background noise easily. Northman is a flick that.. for in all its parts, needs you, the viewer, to put in your own work emotionally to relate to how "YOU" would feel in that situation.. then you can relate and.. Honestly, I have to agree. If you're some low T old dude - probably not your kind of movie. I could watch it again, but its not something I can put on in the background like 13th Warrior. You NEED to pay attention to it.

As far as this Nosferatu... I also have to admit that I came into this movie with baggage. Like.. I was definitely looking for shit that I recalled from Bram Stoker's Dracula. For a good chunk of the movie, I was like "Wheres the three bitches at? If this version of Dracula is this fucking ugly - then let me see what the bitches look like!" .. Also, I was FULL BLOWN expecting Orlok to turn into some fucking glitter vampire after he sucked enough blood.. and he didnt. Bro was always ugly as fucking sin. Im just glad these preconceived notions didnt ruin the movie for me.

Then, ... I cant quite put my finger on what caused it, but when Orlok was assaulting the city.. Man, I watch horror movies all the time and I havent felt a sense of dread like that in a while. I dont know if it was a culmination of the music? Or the fact that Orlok and the way he sucked blood out of the chest, and the noises he made, or the fact that the way he did it was somehow fucking gay looking?.. Or just how fucking gross the dude looked..? .. I dont know. I just have to give the movie props that it made me feel some type of way and movies typically dont do that for me anymore.
