I've used 12900k with 3090 and 6900XT with no issue on an 850 Thor - i still dont get what you think youre trying to prove. At this point i feel like we're dealing with a kid who saved up his allowance and was able to be a big boy for the first time ever.
For every day task Alder Lake uses less power than AMD - For task that require alot of computation power that drastically changes by leaps. Jay or Linus showed at idle and doing normal task the Alder Lake system used like half the power of the Ryzen 5950x - So alot of things factor into it in the end, however what cannot and will not change is that you got swindled by the rep at MC - I atleast hope it was some nerdy hot chick who sold you on that snake oil deal.
So im assuming you kept the MC shaft up your butt during the\ose failed negotiations so hopefully you atleast got a good discount in the end after all the BS they pulled.
Cheaper than what you paid for the chip but mobo and ddr5 is more costly.
Sucks the Aorus Extreme WB z690 is not out yet. The Asus Glacial is a $2000 motherboard, i cant even justify a reason to buy it.

Was messing around with this StockDrops app they have now which almost assuredly is a key logger and allowing them access to my Dogecoin, Checking Account, and PornHub Premium (not really, no one pays for porn), but anyways!
On the off chance I glance up and see an alert for a 3080 or 6800XT it might be interesting. But man this thing fires off like crazy for in stock 6900XTs for absurd prices. Are those thing still actually moving or just stuff coming in stock that will hang around for a few days before someone overpays? Maybe I need to sign back up for EVGA. My last notification went directly to spam so I missed it.

Good luck with that. EVGA disabled their queue system in October, not sure if they ever turned it back on. It also took a year to get a notification, if you signed up early. 4xxx’s will be out before you get notified for a 3080 if you sign up today, assuming they even turned it back on.

In theory the Stockdrops app is pretty sweet. For Amazon, it'll even auto-checkout for you if you pay them $5/month for premium (Gold) tier access. You can go in and customize all the alerts, and basically I've had it running for months, and since I refuse to give in to the scalpers I'm basically only going after FE and EVGA cards, there hasn't been anything in a really long time in the right price range.
If you want a $1500 3080, or $2k 3080ti , then you can get a card in like a week.
Also, antonline have had their bundles up for days now, and haven't sold out, but it's a bunch of shit that you are paying full MSRP for, and good luck selling all that extra shit right now.

Fuck that's tempting considering ASUS TUF 3080's are what, $1200-1400 by themselves? Getting the rest of the parts for a few hundred bucks is super nice.

There were some huge drops today. I had a 3080 FE in the Best Buy queue and got distracted by work stuff before clicking to put it in my cart.
Early this morning I got through the AMD Direct queue and the only thing left was a 6700 XT and then it didn't let me put it in my cart.

Heh fuckin forgot the cap on the side reservoir and water went everywhere. Needless to say turned on the dehumidifier in the basement.
The lines for the gpu don't quite line up, kind of annoying but I'll have to get displacers to rectify that later when the cpu block is released from ek.
