Ray tracing is still years away from being worth worrying about, but DLSS has shown some real current-gaming usage, and is a definite value add for Nvidia.

RTX performance is hilarious - I have yet to run a game where it was worthwhile to even turn on. I mean WoW I guess, but it's severely underutilized.

Maybe overclocking. 6800 runs off 250w and if you manually OC you can probably get it close to 6800Xt performance.
