Really? Because I didn’t give two shits. Black stormtrooper? I didnt care. In fact, I thought a defector that could talk about swapping from clones etc could be cool. They never did that. I never even cared about the thinly veiled slavery implied by the casting.
He got shit later because he started woking interviews. Then they released TLJ and his storyline was hot garbage. As was most of the movie. Other than Rey Mary Sue I thought a lot saw TFA as a by the numbers righting of the ship after the bad prequels, not the warning shot of topping the prequels in the shit tier Star Wars content race. At this point though, Empire was the mistake in a stew of trash since it’s inception (ground breaking original Star Wars notwithstanding)

i'm honestly just waiting for an episode about Vader, it'll be neat seeing him and Obi-Wan doing... stuff?
i 100% know the show is gonna try to go for a redemption arc on Reva and its gonna suck balls but oh well, I do look forward to how awful her storyline can possibly get. Will she bring up that she is a lesbian but also asexual like Vader? Will she make a big speech about how the Empire is racist? Will she talk about how the Galaxy would be better off if a non white male was EmperHER instead of Palps? Will Deborah Chow try to fudge something in about how being Asian in America is ??? (whats asian womens biggest issue now, being attacked by young black men? asians being rejected from college for other races?)

I dunno why it's always about race to them. Fin was fine to me in the first of the shitquels. He kinda sucked in the later ones, but honestly there's so much bad going on I'm not sure I'd blame him as an actor. It's kinda like black force sith chick in this series. She's done fine so far. I'll probably cringe at the story arc, but I can't yet blame her on an actor. Maybe she can sell it really well.
Show a weakness, flaws and pain that drives her to be so insanely determined and hell, I might even buy into it. But if they don't show flaws it's just gonna come across as insanely inhuman, and make redemption impossible and unearned in my eyes.

Fin turned out bad in the sequels because Disney were cowards and didnt put him in a relationship with Rey so she could have a force romance with Adam Driver. Once that happened he had no more arc or purpose other then to be comic relief. The dude is a good actor, he was the best part of Attack the Block and frankly the amount of hate he got for the SW sequels would make anyone lose their shit as he has.

Disney will never push a gay or interracial aspect of any of their projects that they cant easily edit out for the arab and china markets. thats about the only reason we havent seen Elsa and Anna eating each other out yet in the Frozen movies. probably kills them inside not to be able to pervert everything.

i think its an issue for Disney more than anyone else. i dont care if she black and female. i care shes horribly miscast for the role. not every peg is going to fit in every hole. at Disney, you fit the peg in that hole even if you have to get a hammer and make it fit.

If you're going to create an intimidating female character, you can't cast a babyface woman to play her. Her shitty acting only accentuates that fact. Nothing about her is scary
