I'd say very highly unlikely due to absolutely no casting rumors that would seem like someone to play him, but as far as I can recall there is nothing cannon about him at this point so there is a remote chance. He goes back on the radar about 4 or 5 years from this show in New Dawn where he meets Hera.

exactly. i didnt think they could make a show about an ex bounty hunter turned crimelord be fucking boring and cringe. but here we are. we will see, this might be good. i would think they cant possibly fuck up Obi Wan because he would have to follow Obi Wan canon from the OT, but they might put him in the backseat and be "helped" by strong women smarter than him.

Of course strong female characters are not a problem. Off course there isn't an issue per say with women in series or movies.
There have been PLENTY of extremely well written strong female characters that are badass as fuck and don't need any excuses made for them to stand tall on their own.

I do think this forum goes OTT with the "this is woke shit!" stuff, however, it's clearly a box ticking exercise for Disney.
Also, the Aliens/Ripley example is a decent example but the wrong one to use. Aliens featured multiple female space marines (Vasquez, the Pilot, the Medic) and nobody batted an eyelid. It's the forced, box ticking exercise that people have a problem with because it's so obvious.

those 2 other ladies in Aliens were also well portrayed and not infallible super strong geniuses. you didnt see glasses pilot chick bullseying xenomoprhs while quipping, "hur hur hur, i like this!". nope, she was ready to fly and noticed something fucky in back and then she died. Vazquez WAS strong, but that was intentional, they wanted you to know that she was a tomboy and liked to work out to be more tough. i could never figure out if they were going for a lesbian vibe, with dyke haircut and masculine behavior. she had nice tits so it confused me. anyway, she wasnt especially strong or smart, she wasnt infallible because she went apeshit screaming "lets roooooolllllll!" causing everyone to die, but she was tough and went down like a badass.

There are plenty of complex well written female characters in non action / sci fi movies as well, this is not the topic of conversation however.
Disney just can't write fucking good female characters and they will have these cringefests in the name of box checking (Ossoi gets it)
