I've yet to play with you, but massively agreed. The groups I have played with(non-rerollers) have been in comms, and it makes a crazy difference and for intense games and combo's. The most Team Kill I have ever seen. I've been in comms with Crone and TJT, but thats the extend of it.
We really don't need discord - just use open mic in game and we're good to go. The in game voip system isn't bad at all.So you motherfuckers in Discord, get some comms. It's nice being able to just get better players to play with in general, but for me personally, I like getting insights to my team. I play a lot of D.Va, and tend to play her like a bruiser/harasser, spending most of my time flushing out widows, peeling, or blocking for a specific dude. That's just my default though, so being in game with others would be nice if I'm not catching something. IE, like my McCree is being focused by some dude, or if Bastion moved and I didn't pinpoint him yet.
As far as normal scrub games go, I'm getting into a better flow, by simply disrupting enemies that most casuals have issues with. Widows and Bastions specifically; being able to fly up on a point, knock back Widow or fly behind Bastion and gun him down usually gives me a much better chance at our team being able to push than me escorting.
But yea, if you're in Discord, you people better have mics!
Edit: Oh and McCree seems real weird. I don't play a lot of the offense dudes, since I'm mostly tank/heals, but I grabbed him the other day when defending, and he feels like he does as much dmg as widow. Like, I already have issues on the fact that you can roll right up to the defenders doors, but we camped outside and as soon as the doors opened, I had a double kill, almost accidentally. I just fired inside and it was like fish in a barrel.
I mean that's not really enough of a sample size to comment on balance but I was surprised as fuck.
