I know you're raging and aren't serious, but Deathmatch mode will never happen since then you'd have to disable an entire hero: Mercy.
So? Who gives a fuck what they do with Deathmatch. Let all the ADHD kids that need to be killing or shooting at someone every single milisecond go play there and go 6 Widows vs 6 Reapers for all I care. At least it would pull them away from the actual game modes.

Explains all my awesome drunken Torb potgs where I'm swinging away and MISSING with the fucking hammer.
And why bastion is heavily slanted for plays of the game. Generally when he is out rocking it is sitting on or near a control point.

KoTH is the best mode.
It's the fairest, equally balanced since both sides are required to be Offense & Defense to win the round. Rewards adaption and teamwork.

Offense on Cap/Payload is the most braindead and probably highest win-rate mode. There's no way to "wander", so Offense can eventually get a push sync'd even by accident. Also can end rounds early by getting off 1 good push and capping which avoids dumb mistakes as the round drags on.

Being a Defender is worst, no matter if payload or capture points. Ease of players to wander around and leave the objective site are too high. Requires more teamwork and for longer duration. Easy to have a misplay since you're required to defend for so long.

I've narrowed down my SoloQ woes to having to be Defense as 1st game, practically always. New Strat is to dodge my 1st game if it's a defense round. After 1st game you get settled in with a team and also benefit from Consecutive Round XP, but as 1st game of the session I'm avoiding Defense now.

Playtime is very sporadic due to kiddies. I'm lucky to squeeze in a couple rounds in a row most evenings. Hopefully get some extended sessions tonight & weekend.

I'm bored again. The maps are just too small and few in number at this point. Matchmaking clearly hasn't improved much at all still and the 'newness' factor for people being bad is wearing off to the point where your better players are just miles ahead of the shitters that fill most of your team.

Needs content in under 2 weeks. Agree with the AJ review for release (even though I called it in beta) - this game is a great tech demo, where's the content.
Really? I honestly think there are plenty maps and characters for enough diversity in play. Especially because those of us that really didn't play beta need to learn those maps in and out. I do agree that bad/good players (Like a Mercy that won't harass behind the enemy) need to be separated a bit more. Last night the RR crew filled 4 slots, and all losses were pretty much because one of those two extra players just did some bad play at the wrong time consistently.

Played Zarya a couple times last night. Am I missing something or do people just fuckin ignore her? I just don't understand her role as a tank. Can someone please explain this chick?

I got a PC copy for free, so I'm dicking around on it. So much better than the PS4 version. Shooting is way easier.

I find I can't play more than 2-3 games before I need to put this down and go do something else... but I always come back after a bit. I'm not quite sure what is it that drives me to enjoy it only in isolated bursts.

Use her shield on whoever is getting attacked to build energy which makes you do more damage. She also has self-shield for whenever she gets directly attacked. Annoying as fuck playing against a good Zarya. Shields OP. Makes you stop attacking that target allowing them to kill you... like a Shielded Genji becomes a nightmare. Her Ult can be game changing.

I like her best on KoTH maps. She also excels as a 2ndary tank. A Reinhardt + Zarya mean your whole team can be shielded somehow.. your offense can play forward with a Zarya shield on them whereas backline can stay behind Rein.

This happens to me too but once Competitive was out (in beta) I couldn't stop grinding. Also limited playtime means I almost never get my fill

She excels at supporting divers. Like if that Genji is going in (better yet poped his Q) or that Tracer is diving you throw your shield on them. You can also play pretty aggressively with her self bubble. Like if Junkrat is trying to lock down a hallway with nade spam you can just pop your shield and suddenly you're at 40-60 energy and you just solo him. She's really good at breaking chokepoints in my opinion.

Like Rav said she's not a great solo tank. Then again the only real great solo tank is Rein. The others work better when paired with another off-tank or Rein.

Before everyone figured out how she worked they would fire at her constantly buffing your damage to insane levels, now everyone knows how she works so they ignore her til after you bubble. I usually only use her on payloads and try to pop out bubbles to others when I can. Due to how people handle her now they need to put the bubble that you place on others on a shorter cool down. If they don't change her I have a feeling she's going to be useless class since no one will attack her.

I'm not sure if that's the best idea for her but they need to come up with something, maybe buff her baseline damage?

Your best bet is to save your bubble for the last possible second but by then your entire team is usually dead and you're not going to do anything but die. Her main baseline attack is so low damage I don't think it can out damage Lucio's HoT, so they can just ignore you for the most part.

Edit: Playing against retards is vastly different, jump in front of a trigger happy Bastion and bubble and then watch the bodies pile up.

You need to be proactive with Z and go get in the way of damage, walk in to ults/rockets/turret fire/whatever to keep your charge up. Because yea, her damage is pretty garbage without it, but you can usually keep it up by being aggressive enough and just dumping the ally shield on your supports often. With ~50 or more charge though her grenade shot does legit damage, and her black hole is probably one of the better ults in the game.

Keep in mind that Black Hole thingy isn't real CC. I got hit with it on a final push as Reaper last night mid-ult and all it did was make me move super erratically while I gunned down their team :p

If the enemy team isn't offering up free damage or easy charge then Zarya just turns into a kinda lame support, so just like any character there are matchups where you really are going to suffer trying to wedge her in there.

Roadhog and D.Va are definitely my go-to fatties right now, because they fall into that same playstyle I love of just skirmishing and causing havok. Peek around corners, flank when you can (or just fly to crazy places), repeat. I can't accomplish anything with Rein or Winston for the life of me. Also pretty terrible and Junkrat which doesn't surprise me considering Demo was one of my worst classes in TF2

Reaper can use Shade form to walk out of it. D'Va can Shift out of it. S76 can sometimes Sprint out of it (if he's on the edge). Reaper can also Shade form to get out of Mei Ult (before he's frozen).

If you get caught by Zarya Ult as S76 and can't Sprint out, drop your healing, usually keeps everyone alive.

She's got a role but people are figuring out her "gimmick" now. I still like her a lot, but your better off w/ Rein/Roadhog on most of the maps
