Game is so, so strange. Just played a comp game on my drunk alt in the 1900 range on ilios ruins. I've been fill friendly lately so after the 2 stack picks junk hog I pick zarya. Tab away and see that we have 4 dps 2 tanks. I was about to pick a main healer then thought "fuck you". Predictably die on first push along with everyone else, switch to widow.
Killed pharah a few times, couple other decent plays nothing great.. and we fucking win. 5 dps one tank, gg? Win on lighthouse too of course this time someone heals (and I go back to tank) but ffs? How does match making fuck up that bad? Is the only thing I can think of. Does it even fucking matter what people pick? IDK.

Well fuck OW for tonight, first 2 games, I have people throwing, not even funny. 1 game, me and the healer are trying to move the payload...we didn't see a single DPS the entire game, not around the point and not on the killfeed...either killing or being killed. Fucking sad.

Just run circles around the payload dropping turrets nonstop. Only way to stop her is if a dedicated Winston is constantly trailing behind you.
I put teleporters/shield generators right on the moving payload.

I like zarya, I rarely die rofl. I have a new smurf account just bc it was so cheap and I wanted to try more pharah in comp without messing with my main account. Also I could see some people smurfing just to see what their new rating is without taking into account previous seasons.

What explains this game’s utterly soul-draining ranked games and community? How do you even fix this shit? I’ve never played a game with such an overwhelming amount of people whose only goal is to ruin the game for other people. I wonder if a scoreboard - showing kills, deaths, points capped, etc - would help to keep people honest and accountable for their performance.

The game just went on sale for $20 so the smurfing problem just increased. I have an alt account so I can't really bitch. I hope to do placements on it this week.

I have nothing against a scoreboard, and while I think it would keep people honest about their performance, I think it would give extra ammunition to toxic players to be even more toxic(although justified).
Also, I'm not sure how a scoreboard would accurately display the work of certain classes. I mean a Tracer can be doing a great job harassing the back lines without getting tons of kills simply by forcing the other team to come back and help the healers, etc. Or a Mei who doesn't do a lot of damage or gets tons of kills...but who is doing an awesome job with her walls.
There's probably plenty of other example of stuff that couldn't be displayed on a scoreboard, and sadly the toxic people would not care about that, and focus only on what is displayed.
If they want to stop the toxicity, they need to start giving permanent ban. If someone gets thousands of report for poor teamwork or being toxic...that's weeks, if not months of reports and affecting tons of players. Getting 24 hours ban is a joke, if someone ruins the game for hundreds of people for months, just get rid of them permanently.
They'll either stop, or Blizzard can make money on all the extra accounts they'll sell. It's a win-win.

I wouldn't mind seeing a scoreboard at the end of the end of a match, but during a match it will just lead to more toxicity. Like Valderen said some heroes have intangibles that you can't measure. If a Zarya is doing a great job at peeling, she can make it a lot easier for her team to win.
As far as Competitive, it really needs a total revamp because it's a festering pile of shit anymore. I wish Jeff or one of team would play a night of Competitive matches and stream it on Twitch.

I bet you could measure it.
Start a timer after you tag tracer. Maybe combine it with your proximity to tracer after being tagged. Add time to "time spent chasing tracer" if you re-tag her after so many seconds, and are within her "aura".
