So only started playing this a few weeks ago, I don't have a great amount of play time but I enjoy the quick nature of the game it suits my play shecdule just fine. Anyways last night I got to level 25 so thought I would try a few competative games out I won 5 lost 5 in the registration games or whatever you call them. I get put into silver, I am happy with that I don't claim to be good at the game I just have fun about 2 games into silver some dude start going crazy in chat at me before the game even started saying how i should not be playing competative at level 25 get to level 100 in quick play then come back, now in that game I got 4 golds on Moria i thought I done well the team won easy and I got play of the game but he still kept going on and on about how I just damaging my own ranking and the others I get grouped with.
So should I stay out of competative for the time being? I enjoyed it more than quick play, as people make comps to at least try and win the game, but in quick play people just do what the fuck they like. You know you going to lose even before the game started as we got 5 dps and 1 healer or 4 tanks etc etc and people don't want to change as they learning a new charecter or they just trolling

Fuck that guy, you bought the game, play it how you want. Granted it's not terribly difficult to rack up the gold medals on Moira, but it sounds like you held your own and played a hero that contributed to your team. My advice is turn off voice chat and just block annoying people if they're ranting in text chat. There are so many smurf accounts out there that as long as you don't bring attention to the fact that you're new to the game, anyone saying anything about your level should be rare.

Toxic people will always find an excuse to be toxic, in your case it was your level. When you'll be level 100, it will be something else.
So play competitive if you want, and have fun. I'd personally would stay in chat even if you don't talk, helps with coordination a little, especially as you go up in rank and people talk a bit more. Just mute the people who are toxic and you'll be good to go.

Thats was what I was thinking, I do play the game right in terms of tacticly I know what to do, but my brain writes cheques that by aim cannot check is my main issue, I know the push points I know how to play defensive or aggresive depending on the point on the maps, I always try to play a hero that suits the map/team comp. I don't mind changing, the only role I don't like playing because of my skill level is dps role as my aim is terrible but if 2 tank/heal already taken I will not pick a 3rd of that type I go solider or tracer and hope for the best but you won't see me getting gold anytime soon as a dps.

i mean there's an elo system so you'll be the correct elo eventually. Silver sounds about right, if you have any fps experience at all and are trying to put together team comps silver is fine. Fuck that guy who has played for months and is still silver. Also rage is par for the course in this game, no-one accepts responsibility for their own failures and just blames dps/team comp/one tricks/full moon for their losses instead of reflecting properly.

So what it really boils down to is if you're happy fucking around in silver learning the game and you can hold your own, go for it 100%. What you DONT want to do is tank into bronze as its harder to climb if you aren't legitimately better than your team mates because of all the stupid comps/throwers/ragers etc. If you're maintaining in silver id just play ranked.

People that are like that are the problems, not you lol. The guys that have this notion that you need 100 levels of experience before you should play competitive are just shitters that are projecting their own trash skill level upon others.

As long as her shield eats basically every ult from 10 feet away, she will be. That's just so damn powerful to be able to nullify every character.
IMO it needs should be like Zaryas shield in that it only absorbs damage to a certain amount.

That doesn't really do much. The real power is it nullifies ults that don't do immediate damage or damage at all (Zarya ult, Mei ult, Tracer bomb), which force those heroes to change their behavior. As a Zarya, I won't risk an ult with an enemy DVA nearby unless I am 100% certain she will not be able to Dmatrix eat it. It can also nullify heals (Moira orbs, Ana nades)
