I lowered my sensitivity some the other day, I think it's definitely upped my game a lot, especially on characters like McCree and Tracer

Yeah, that definitely helped me out too. I dialed it down quite a bit and it's definitely helped a ton.

Nice video explaining the netcode:

Definitely hate the deaths behind walls, sounds like they have a reasonable solution.
Kinda insane that a guy with 300+ ping could actually have an advantage over you since they "rewind" you so much.

Pharah predictive update is pretty huge. She did seem like the toon I had the most "wtf bullshit" deaths where I KNEW that I shifted up but on their screen they see me on the floor and headshot me.

Also I feel like match making has made a marked improvement. At least it seems like the Attacking team is winning the majority of the time in my games which leads me to think the teams are more even. Its also funny because as players are getting better I'm starting to favor away from S76. I could noobstomp on that guy but when I play against competent players he just doesn't seem to have the burst damage to really duel.

I've actually started playing S76 more, but typically only on payload maps and as defense on capture. He has good sustained damage. I can usually rack up tons of kills. Had a 30 kill streak Sunday with him as defense on a payload map (forget all the names). Like you mentioned, dueling isn't great and close quarters aren't great, so I don't pick him on KoTH maps.

For KoTH maps I go either Reaper, Mei or D'Va.

Depends on the KOTH map. I favor 76 heavily on Li Jiang pt2. Generally my KotH goes as:

Nepal 1: Reaper / Junkrat / Roadhog
Nepal 2: Tracer / 76
Nepal 3: McCree / Roadhog / 76

Towers 1: Pharah / Reaper
Towers 2: 76 / Junkrat
Towers 3: Tracer / Junkrat

I don't have enough experience on Ilios to really know but:

Greek 1: Junkrat / Roadhog / Lucio
Greek 2: Roadhog / Lucio
Greek 3: Junkrat / Pharah

What is really underrated about 76 on KotH is his heal beacon. You generally skirmish in close quarters on KotH maps so you can heal a ton of people on your team. I favor 76 on Nepal 2 and Towers 2 because those two can grant great sight lines. Especially if you capture the point and then defend. With 76 you can stand by the bridge and frag as they come out of their spawn on Towers 2. Nepal 2 gives great sight lines if you are defending as well.

From ChanmanV's stream w/ Jeff Kaps:

Competitive patch is expected today. At the latest a few days from now. Blizzard took my idea for competitive (I doubt it -- but I did suggest it on reddit about a month ago) where they aren't going with Stopwatch. Basically if you win the map you win. If you lose the map you lose. If both attackers win the map you go to a sudden death KOTH.

Damn sudden death KOTH is pretty intense. Love it.

What is gay is competitive doesn't backfill. So if someone leaves you have to play people down or vs people down. It sucks.

Excited the most for comp. I think sudden death KOTH is good especially as a spectator, it will just be chaos or completely fucking boring. I feel like they're taking the popularity of CSGO and throwing it in and just hoping it works but I honestly think it will.

Competitive Payload in TF2 was never enjoyable as a player, not necessarily comparing the two but it's the only other competitive game I've played with any sort of payload. It was just boring and spammy, although most TF2 PL maps were most definitely not designed to be played competitively. I'm stoked to try it anyways.

Hah, is Blizzard actually firing back by putting -more- emphasis on the butt?
