Whether you're on paleo or not - why the fuck are you putting butter on anything? Use EVOO fatty.

Anyone tried the Rickshaw diet? It's where can eat anything that appears in Rickshaw thread attachments.

Butter is fucking delicious you heathen.

1 tbsp EVOO - 120 calories
1 tbsp butter - 102 calories

I guess I just don't get why, doctor or not, Aychamo spends 10 years trolling this forum and having repeated meltdowns over the years, including a couple of self bans and a faked dead girlfriend, and then expects anyone to respect his authoritah on anything and acts like he's above argument.

You're a fucking douche, and always have been. What you do now is irrelevant for changing that.

Spent at least 10s googling EVOO before I figured out it means extra virgin olive oil.

Olive oil is better for you assuming that saturated fats are bad for you and monounsaturated fats are good (or better) for you.

I find the nutrition thing to be pretty confusing.. I tend to develop more craving when I eat whole grains as opposed to lean meats and veggies. Right now I'm actually on the stillman diet. Lol I know that can't be the best thing for you longterm but its working great now...but even following the food pyramid from Harvard it makes whole grains a huge staple of your diet and when I eat that way I find myself always hungry and eating more calories.

The nutrition thing is beyond confusing although everyone knows how to eat decently, it's just doing it that's hard. I don't know about low carb stuff but I do know that I get bread cravings that are at least as bad as sugar cravings and maybe worse. There's been many a time that I have gone to the refrigerator at 10 PM and polished off a bag of white flour tortillas. That stuff is like crack and probably one of the worst things that you could eat right before bed. I also know that if I can keep myself away from sugar and bread, I tend to lose weight.

Ya, thats what I have always assumed based on bro science and shit. Love me some butter, but since cutting it completely out I don't really miss it. Much. Potato's kind of suck without it though, but I've been drizzling the EVOO on them before baking them and its decent.

I've felt really good since adding back whole grains into my diet (oatmeal in the mornings, brown rice etc) - and noticed that I was getting CRAZY cravings before switching back. When I wasn't eating any grains, all I wanted was a fat burrito or a jimmy johns sandwich... couldn't be bothered with sugar or anything. Now that I'm eating grains, oats etc again - I'm fucking dying for coke, cookies, and shit like that. This is all anecdotal obviously, but I can't imagine ANY diet where you don't get cravings from time to time - and I've been eating clean for 6 weeks now almost. Hopefully (possibly?) it'll get better.

I can just picture shattuck brushing butter on his bacon with a giant fat hand before cooking it, haha.

Why would you need butter to make bacon?

You have to use butter or at least a mix of butter and oil if you want things to brown nicely. Hash browns are a good example of this. And of course butter is necessary for baking, but then most baking is not supposed to be healthy. I use the olive oil or canola oil for just about everything else though.

What? Deep fried bacon in butter with a little melted butter dipping sauce served on the side. It's the staple of every great morning!
