I'm enjoying it throughly, and I'm only 3. I haven't grouped yet, but it definitely has that old school feel. I hate to sound like a purist, but the no map is actually really nice. Not having a map with beacons showing exactly where to go to find X, is making exploring fun. I'm shocked at how much I like this.

Green square, arrow points to main hub.

When you leave the cave watch out for the high level mobs on the right and then elites immeadiatly on the left. They really did put high level elites on the exit that will kill you 90% of the time.

Having fun so far. I have no fucking clue how this is supposed to go. Right now I am just fucking around trying to find the right level mobs to grind. Loot shit. Sell shit. Buy spells. Got to 6 before calling it a night. At 5 I found a white bear cub that was a seveeeeeere undercon. Only death.

I am in the same boat. A buddy and I decided to start a business and I need to put my focus and energy into that, but these recent thread updates makes it hard to not want to play.

I like the idea of exploring and the loot being meaningful, especially if you find a rare spawn, etc. Some of it is nostalgia, of course, but I like having the ability to discover stuff in a game, even if i am never the first to do so. Just having the chance to is what makes it fun to me.

A few years from now it will likely be item/stat bloat and may not feel the same with upgrades, so the fomo is definitely there.

I will say after all the years on here, FOH-1, rolled, rerolled, 1000 gifs and such it's nice to see something actually happening.

My life has changed drastically as far as work compared to the past whatever years I tried to pledge but I am glad something is out there and you guys are active testing it.

I have no idea as to the life of game developers, designers, etc. and I wish them all well.

I hope success continues for this, and when the official "launch" happens FOH is competitive and the game prospers.

Happy New year to you crazy kids.
