I can probably give him the benefit of the doubt, seeing as he acknowledged what went wrong on his blog that time. Although I still think he would be smart to make himself the executive producer or something, rather than the head honcho. He should busy himself with programming, designing, dreaming shit up and talking to the public. Let someone else do the hiring and firing and contract writing and stuff.

Not saying he definitely can't do it... I wish him the best either way. Just sayin, "Nothing else has worked so far, So I?ll wish upon a star, Wondrous sparkling speck of light, I need a Jew..."

Bah, I'm talking about throwing him 25$-50$ not mortgaging my house. Even though VG was a trainwreck, I did like the 2/3 of the game that was finished during the 29 minutes I could see it between CTDs. I liked the "vision", so I would do a very small part to let him try again.

Maybe it would be a turd maybe not, /shrug.

Getting funding isn't an overnight thing. If they're coming up with a Kickstarter pitch and want it to have a chance at being successful, it can't be based purely off promises and nostalgia, which has screwed over a couple of recent Kickstarters. Promises and nostalgia are a big part, but you've got to have some actual substance to show people that you'll live up to your end.

Or maybe convo is right and they're trying to pitch it around before resorting to crowd funding. Either way, a day feels like three weeks to us, but a week feels like a blink of an eye to them. I'll reserve worrying for a few more months.

If there is any link with SOE when would they let them release cause i'm sure they wouldn't want to bump heads with EQN(2014-2015?). 2016 for brad?

suddenly its possible to make a good game in that amount of time? They've done literally nothing as of this point right now, so 2016 gives them 2 years...

Winter 2016 :p and if there is a link with SOE then the engine has been built so that has to take some time off dev. whats the average time for mmo's 3-5 years?

It's not going to be an overnight project but stretching the project out over 5 years works directly against a tight budget.

Seems about right for the scope. The whole point of this project is to not take the half a decade, $100 million budget route.
