these guys are working on their resumes in between writing lore or fucking around in unity. if the KS fails, as someone said earlier, they're getting haircuts and real jobs due to wife aggro.
VR will last as long as their unemployment checks do should this not fund. I hope it does, but thats my honest assessment.

Alright so I'm confused, pardon the boob-noob question but:

So my team and I start a KS asking for 100K. It gets funded and we live on that for a few months and get our game going. But 100K doesn't finish the game (we still need marketing, multiplayer, etcetera) and we now learn we need another 300k. Do we just do another KS? Or is the original KS expanded? How does that work?

So Brad Co. is asking for 800k. 800k does not an MMO make. So I'm assuming he'll do multiple KS or rely on stretch goals (4-5million) but I question if that'll be enough to fund it to completion; or is the goal to fund development just long enough for a publisher to latch on?

Just confused as to how it all works.

Man this thread has gone a bit too negative for even me. I understand the disappointment and frustration, but this has just turned into a shit show the last couple of pages.

I am pretty positive about the project. How much money have we thrown at other MMOs already? If there is even a decent chance that Brad will create what could be his crowning achievement, I for one am willing to take that chance. If it doesn't work out, what have you lost? A few bucks that would have probably been wasted to something else?
