Hey guys,

Thanks for the continued feedback. I just wanted to pop in quickly to reiterate that no information is being held back - we want you guys to have the information as much as you do. But it takes time to prepare the presentation of it. We can't simply upload design docs that are mid-way through completion, so the updates have been coming out as they're finished.

For example, the screens that Vu sent yesterday were posted only about an hour after he had finished work on the area.

As for the class details, again, that takes time to write up and present in a reader-friendly format. The same is true of all the details. The focus of the team right now is getting you that information as quickly as possible.

In addition to that, the team has been gathering more Qs from the community and getting those questions answered. We also finished up a whole bunch of interviews today that asked even more of those questions. We're also planning on an AMA very soon, where Brad will get a chance to answer your questions in real time.

In the interim, we can't thank you enough for your interest in the game. We're thrilled to see as much passion in the community as there is in the development team and we don't plan on relenting at all in getting that info out as quickly as possible.

Ok, so it takes some time to write up a reader-friendly class description. The Dark Knight description was 4 paragraphs. How long does something like that take? And does it take 19 days to write up the Shaman class at the same level of detail?

I'm seriously considering starting my own kickstarter just to see how far it would go. I mean after watching this train wreck, it really makes me wonder if I could do better with NO FUCKING experience in the gaming industry at all. I'm a fan Brad, but shit man. What the fuck is going on over there. I'm not going to take my $250 away from you because I believe once you pledge, YOU PLEDGE. Taking it away is a shit move. But, man, get with it.

If I decide to do a kickstarter, I will do it like this:
Kickstarter #1: $60,000 goal to investigate the possibility of starting a niche home-brewed MMORPG company with a 10,000 mile high vision of the first MMORPG intended to be made. The main thing here is to put my idea for the first MMORPG out to the public to see if they want it, and the $60,000 would be to higher an experienced industry artist, developer, and designer.

Kickstarter #2: $200,000 goal to create a prototype of the MMORPG. This would be the point where I show the public the over all design and art direction. The idea here is to raise enough money to create an actual prototype with a single zone, a few mobs, player character to demo combat and dungeon design.

Kickstarter #3: $10,000,000 goal to create the actual MMORPG. This is where I would throw in the access to Alpha, Beta, etc to the backers.

They are doing this pro bono now , just like they would have been doing this pro bono last month. Or last October since they started this in Sept. Nothing is different other than waiting till now was a moronic decision. I guess only Kickstarter experts would know this though.

I genuinely would like one of the team to explain how it did not occur to any of them to cram this shit together during Dec/early Jan at least instead of waiting until after the KS launched.

Sali literally admitted they have nothing and are posting it as soon as they are done scribbling it eventually ? Why ?

I was looking through Kickstarter and here are the basic guidelines.

Hardware and Product Design guidelines

Show your work- Projects must be clear about their state of development, and cannot be presented as preorders of finished products. Projects must show details (photos, videos, sketches) of their progress so far, along with a prototype demonstrating the product's current functionality. Projects must explain how the final design is likely to differ from the prototype, and include a production plan (i.e., how you're going to make it) and an estimated timeline.

No product simulations or photorealistic renderings- Technical drawings, CAD designs, sketches, and other parts of the design process are awesome and encouraged. Photorealistic renderings and simulations that could be mistaken for finished products or real events, however, are not allowed.

Single servings- Product Design and Hardware projects can only offer one reward per pledge. Offering multiple quantities can imply that rewards are shrink-wrapped and ready to ship when they?re not. With some projects, we'll make exceptions for what we consider sensible sets ? things like salt and pepper shakers, notebooks, building blocks, etc.

I am going to go ahead and file a complaint with them and see if they will take this down under fraud and false guildlines. Maybe if they get enough complains from people they will put this thing out of it's misery.

My biggest objection to Pantheon is the lore is so meh. Take eq/vg mechanics and stick it on some lore other than generic high fantasy.
Tad, that's your problem. Out of this whole fiasco, your biggest problem is just lore. These guys have accomplished almost nothing and you are just worried the lore is too much like D?D planar lore. I could have wrote the entire lore made so far in a few days of haphazard solo writing. The lack of design elements coupled with a general lack of any true information is the kicker. Imagine if Vu had been around to build something before two days ago? Or if some of the others guys actually were doing anything the past few months?

Remember, this was originally supposed to launch in November. From Brad's twitter account:

"We hope to have our kickstarter page up in the next 3 weeks or so.
7:38 PM - 31 Oct 2013"

What would the campaign have looked like if it had launched then?

Lore matters. And I've already covered my issues with the management of the product, you must have missed those posts.
