Yeah I get you , and it's a shame too they've half assed it so much overall.

Currently you have the Inner Circle of Retards on the KS forums attacking Artic , who'e been one of the more prominent supporters through out it.

Take a long look at the crew that will make up the large % of "apprentice developers" , it bodes well.

The stupidity shown by Ryan D. Freer and Dayna Gilbert in the comments section is astounding. If only there was a way to use human stupidity as an energy source; we could replace a nuclear power plant with these two people alone.

I hope you are not serious... I'm as big of a fan boy as the next guy but come on.... this is very poor business and it is not the first sign of this behavior. It should be defended, encouraged, or supported. If EQ and/or the old way of MMO's is truly beloved by people these guys are doing far worse with their mockery than what the mediocrity of the last fews of MMO's have done to the genre. Thanks to these guys, they have POTENTIALLY painted us, who actually desire the MMO that once was, as a smaller niche than anyone thought that consists of a bunch of pessimistic arm-chair devs.

We (and i'll still say we) need to hope they get it together and it works out or someone get actually gets EQClassic off the ground. Otherwise all our hopes and dreams rely on EQNext. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, I hope EQNext is great but, I think a lot of people will either have to move on and accept the change or just quit supporting these companies all together.

I'm concerned this Pantheon project no longer adheres to the KS rules and conduct:

"This is not a project. A project is something with a clear end, like making an album, a film, or a new game. A project will eventually be completed, and something will be produced as a result"


At this point they're updating with information directing backers instead to a private site that indicates funds raised, but doesn't even link back to the KS. That, and they say they're making a game, but have indicated in many interviews the money requested would actually go towards setting up a studio; basically they're asking for money to set up a business so they can some day maybe get funding to make a game.

Because:

"Kickstarter cannot be used to fund websites or apps focused on e-commerce, business, and social networking."

Yet their website is a subscription-based forum community mostly focusing on social-networking features.

And/Or:


I see abusive behavior on this project. If you see inappropriate comments or other activity, let us know.

You know what is fucked up is about 700 pages ago, people were going ape shit on me about how I was a troll and just hating Brad, I bought up early on that the kickstarter was a scam and that it went against the kickstarter rules from the start since they were funding something different than what they were presenting. I even suggested that it should be taken down and was berated for it.

Oh well it only took a month for 95% of people to see the light. I still can't believe how much shit you and Arctic were getting on the KS comments last night though.

I don't think asking the community interested and involved in this community to turn a blind eye to possible Kickstarter violations is the type of PR the project needs either, though.

I'm in a pickle here, guys! I'm not sure what the ethical thing to do is at this point.

I wouldn't say berated, but yeah. :p

Early on I think many of us were wondering why they were focusing on the game, to the point the 800k milestone was explained to be something entirely different than they indicated they needed it for in interviews.

Just wow , I once thought the closed beta forums in Vanguard were out of touch and like a religion , that "Apprentice Developers" forum is going to be , well good god , I don't even know what word you would use to describe it. Just look at the lunatics on the KS forum circle jerking.

They can't even grasp the fact he's going to need 4-5 million dollars to even touch making a real game of low quality , and that their little inner circle isn't going to be ponying that up.

You'd almost feel sorry for them if they weren't such douchebags overall , they've literally turned on anyone who doesn't Sieg Heil immediately on everything Brad says and does.
