We did the same thing. Went to my grandmothers yesterday, stayed home today, and fuck all the in-laws we usually go see. We never get home before 9pm all previous Christmases and screw doing that with an 8 month old.

2 month old only likes to sleep on his stomach. I'm fine with it but the rest of society isn't. Where is Dr Izo when you need him?

I'm pretty sure if you are over the age of 30 you were raised sleeping on your stomach, but yeah I am just going to go with it and stare at the dropcam.

As long as you aren't using loose blankets and bumper pads, there isn't much danger in stomach sleeping. At 2 months the kid is strong enough to move their head/neck around. They aren't going to sleep face-down on a flat mattress to the point that they can't breathe. It takes blankets or bumper pads that create crevices that they get stuck in that cause the main problems.

Watching our son sleep on his stomach with his head against the mattress vs. watching him breast feed his face was more smooshed and blocked while breastfeeding than he was sleeping. They have smalls channels on the sides of their noses that lets them breath while being smothered by a boob. I found that rather interesting as I didn't even think about that before we had him.
