Well we've entered the next level of consciousness. Earlier today he grabbed one of his toys in his playpen and pulled it over to the side where my tablet was playing some kids music for him. He climbed on the toy so it would boost him up allowing him to reach the tablet which is otherwise out of his reach. The little weasel!

Kid still not doing much. Hasn't said 'ma' yet at 11 months, won't clap, point, or do anything like that. He has attempted to stand on his own for like 10 seconds at a time though. I think he has tunnel vision on walking.

Also for 4 months or so he was crawling by just dragging his lifeless body and finally just started crawling on all 4s. What a relief.

That's pretty typical. My kid started pulling up on things (ottoman, his crib, chairs) and standing at about 10 months, and could walk while holding on to something, or pushing something like a laundry basket around on the carpet at 11 months, but he couldn't walk at all on his own until after 1 year(I want to say 13-14 months). He could pull up to a standing position and then let go and keep his balance while standing at like 12-13 months, but anything more than 1 or 2 steps(followed by a fall) didn't happen until like 14/15 months.

Our daughter never crawled. Neither did I. She basically followed the same schedule as joeboo's kid. At 13 months she finally started walking between two people or two objects on her own but never just wandering if that makes sense. She'd never walk on her own without a destination. She also didn't talk much until she was two and then at about 28 months when our son was born the complete sentences began and now she doesn't shut up at all. She'll be 3 in July.

That was exactly how it was for us. He did an army crawl for months before he started crawling. Then it was about a month from full crawl to taking his first step.
The other stuff he's not pointing yet or clapping. He does wave and he'll do the Indian mouth thing. wah wah wah but that's about it for gestures. And word shit he's doing the ahh's with mostly hard sounds. Every now and then he'll slip in a mamama but it's pretty rare.
Our friends son who was born the same day was quite a bit ahead verbally and a month or so ahead standing up and he crawled sooner too.

Oh and I guess this is not talked about as much, but he was sitting on my lap so I tapped his diaper to see if it was full of piss or not and I felt what I believe to be his first boner.

Awkward man.. awkward.

You never forget the first time you touch a child's boner.

It's funny how we were so worried about our son in regards to milestones. However, our daughter turned 1 last week and we are not worried in the least. My son was walking by this age but for me it's honestly easier that she is still just crawling.

Noodle wait until he can talk and he tells you about his boner. My son came running out of the bathroom so excited "Look Papa my penis is big". He also loves to announce to the whole room before and after he needs to have a poop.

Haha me and the wife were talking about that last night. She said it's weird when he has a boner and it surprised her. I told her to wait until he's a little older and wants to show it off. Asked me how I knew and I told here "well, that's what I did"

I specifically remember walking into my parents room naked and saying "look at this haha, it's so funny"

Here's something that will make all <1 year olds seem inadequate. :p I have friends who also has an 11 month old. His father plays the drums and they just bought him his own kiddie drum sticks. Little guy is already playing the drums. He'll bang on a drum then he'll switch to a cymbal and every now and then he'll flash a rock face. It's pretty goddamn adorable.

I was always told that a boner in a baby usually means they are about to pee? Lol. Lucky you all didn't get peed on! Lol
