My first set were a couple of jerks...oddly enough they now love me and invite me to go camping with them when they take my kids. We're cool now...who knew all it took was finding out their daughter was a cheating whore?

So I guess I wasn't paying attention, and when I was doing the night feedings, I was then handing the baby off to the wife to put him to sleep again, which sometimes could take up to an hour. Oops... as I'm sawing logs, she's trying to get him back to sleep. She made me aware of that fault right away!!
The other things... What's up with these breastflow bottles/nipples? Wife breast feeds, but pumps so I can help out sometimes too, and I hate these damn things. Baby sucks the nipple in all the time and have to take it out of his mouth, let it inflate again, and put it back in. These nipples are supposed to be the bomb hizzy and replicate mama's nipple really well, but damn they suck. The damn mass generic the hospital give ya with the free formula are better than these things.

This will be my wife's first mothers day. I asked her what she wanted from me and my son (just turned a year old), and she just said she wanted to be able to sleep in. Any pro tips on what I can do to pleasantly surprise her (apart from watching the baby, of course)?

Coming from a mom... those two would be absolutely awesome mother's day gifts. My god could I use that...
On another note, first ER trip with my 12 month old yesterday. Her big sister (5 years) picked her up around the chest then dropped her from about waist height. The 1 year old fell forward hitting her chin hard on the carpet. So hard that she knocked her bottom teeth loose. Her mouth was bleeding badly and her little teeth were barely hanging on. I called her doctor immediately and they told me I had to bring her into Seattle Children's Hospital rather than our local ER because we might need specialists.
Luckily there was no more damage than a skinned chin and the loose teeth, so we just need to keep her away from hard foods for awhile and hope her teeth settle back in and don't fall out. My god it is hard to see your baby bleed though, I was shaking for like an hour.

I'm just going to try and take care of my daughter all day and let my wife do whatever she wants. I know if I actually took this advice and left for the day, she would spend the day missing our girl.
