Pampers. Have used all disposables over the past 6.5 years and pampers is the only one that has consistently worked for all 3 of my girls. Never got into cloth diapers.

Pampers or Kirkland brand (Costco).

Trick with diapers is to use the lowest weight on the pack and move up when they start getting close to the next size lowest listed weight. This tends to avoid blowouts. Just fold over the top if its over sized.

Whole sale clubs have been the best priced in our experience for both formula and diapers. If you sign up for Enfamil news letter they'll send you $5 coupons every month.

I used Fuzzibunz from start to finish, and was able to sell the exteriors when I was done in each size (you can get used exteriors and new liners, and that makes it much more affordable, and it's perfectly hygienic).

Huggies 4 LYFE. Not the slip-ons though.
And what does your kids use? Heeeyooo. Thanks though

We didn't like the sample pampers we got from the maternity ward back then, nor the lower size diapers. We chose some eco swan marked brand, cheap but leak from time to time. I hate being a zombie from changing leaky diapers in the middle of the night. Gonna try the pampers/huggies then. Oh, speaking of huggies, have you tested their swim pants, chaos? Those any good for the local spa?

We used Pampers at first because that's what the hospital gave us and we took from the hospital when they weren't looking. The N size was smaller than Huggies smallest size (0 maybe?) and fit her better. Then we switched to Kirkland brand (Size 1-2) but after those got too small on her, the Kirkland size 3 were too big. Now she is in Huggies size 2 at almost 7 months and has been in these for over 3 months. I'm pretty sure these size Huggies are actually less per diaper at Costco than the Kirkland brand due to the fact that they have the oddest number of diapers per box.

our blowout issues were solely due to the fact that when your kid shits once every 3 days, every single one of them is going to be a blowout.

Our daughter has a very long torso and short legs so diaper sizing was weird early on and probably will be for awhile.

No, the swim pants are terrible. They are very very leaky and don't fit right. Poo in the pool is no fun for anyone.

I'm sure poo in the pool is fun for at least a few people.

We go to a pool pretty much every day during summer months, and we have not once had a kid dump while in the pool, so I have no idea how good the swim diapers are. We must have been good in a previous life or something.

Pampers here so far. Every time we have tried huggies or kirkland (which i swear i read were rebranded huggies) we have had blowout issues. They fit ok around the waist but they are always too loose on his legs. Blowout issues may not be such an issue anymore though now that he is on solids his poop is way less runny.

Pampers here as well. Which sucks because we have a membership to Coscto but all they sell are their own brand(Kirkland) and Huggies, and neither is as good as Pampers. I guess Sams Club carries Pampers, but fuck getting a membership to somewhere I'd only go for diapers.

And I know some people that swear by cloth, but I just really don't want to ever deal with hosing out shit-filled diapers. It's bad enough cleaning off a shit-covered kid after a blowout, I don't want to be scrubbing a diaper for 10 minutes as well. I'ts not worth the money savings for us

Diapers are such a money sink it's not even funny. It was a great day when we she was fully potty trained. Also great was when she finally transitioned fully out of bottles because washing those was a pain in the ass.

At what point were you guys ok with your babies sleeping on their stomach?

Our kid can't crawl yet, but he rolls with ease in every direction, and will even roll completely across a room, so getting stuck on his stomach isn't an issue.

My wife still freaks out everytime she see's him on his stomach on the baby monitor and goes in to roll him over to his back. I say he's fine at this point since he can roll at will. There's obviously no blankets or bumper pads or anything else in his crib other than him.

Rule of thumb is when they can turnover by themselves, and also do it in their sleep it's not necessary to manually turn them over on their back again. Always put them to sleep on their back still.

We all know it has to do with SIDS. The study and correlation which is the basis of the worldwide recommendation was done in Australia and Denmark, if anyone cares. SIDS is taught as a prime example of epidemiology gone wrong, and then right as the recommendations for SIDS prevention have changed to what we have today - put baby to sleep on their back, don't smoke around them and make sure they're don't overheat.

They're here, in Danish. I'm sure you can find the same on the CDC site.

Dr. Izo is pretty much right. When they can roll over, at that point sleeping on their stomachs is fine. Hell, at that point you can't really stop them. My almost 2 year old, I still have her in a crib and I still lay her on her back just out of habit, still have the fan running in her room, never had a bumper or anything like that. I was really hesitant to even give her a blanket. SIDS scares the shit out of me.

We never put anything into the crib with my 2 boys. No blankets, no toys, none of that good shit.

I swaddled our youngest until he was over one. He slept so well all swaddled up. He didn't turn over until in his sleep until we stopped swaddling, and by that point we weren't worried about it.
