It’s funny, was just reading the poe thread looking for POE 2 info, skimming through pages of current game posts. I then see someone say we don’t need a POE 2 thread yet and was like, the fuck we don’t.

Resentful as it's contributed to some real stinker leagues for PoE recently.

A bit worried as slow gameplay is not something I'm sure I want. Last Epoch is definitely slower and there's too many boring luls in its moment to moment gameplay.

I get a ton of enjoyment out of tinkering around in PoB(and LE Tools for LE). Awakened PoE Trade is basically required to play the game. There's far too many websites to list. Missing all of those is certainly going to be different.

Think it's going to be good, but develoment beyond the first beta may be too slow for people. I'm excited though. They've pretty much said we're seeing shit builds in play to demonstrate skills, so the zoom zoom will be there.

I get a feeling this is their version of a Dark Souls PoE style. Lot of bosses with actual mechanics. Probably target farmable stuff beyond the AA like points you get from them. Could be good.

In the end people will wanna just blast maps though.

I expect to not like it but it won't cost me a single cent to figure that out unless I choose to buy a bundle and even if I do that bundle comes with the same value in coins.

I really look forward to the slowed down combat. Are we still like 4 years away though? I read some beta invites went out early this league but not much after.

They're calling it early access but it might as well be release right? There are going to be missing features sure but with how this game does seasons it might as well be considered S1.

ya im pretty sure they put out 2026 if we’re lucky - but they do good open betas. Poe was in beta for like 3-4 years of enjoyable gaming if i remember right

obviously their dev cycle is way diff now. Always was nervous after they said they were continuing leagues with original poe tho and wanted to support two games at once

Yeah, PoE was playable and fun in beta for a long time before official 'release'. I don't want slow combat so if that's what it ends up being then i'll probably not put many hours into this one. I'm not a fan of souls-like games or any of that, and always despise(d) the long drawn-out boss fights in poe when they were/are that way. They don't have to be 2 second loot explosions but minutes long fights are not what I want in my arpg's.

im down with this. I want slower ‘mapping/gameplay’ but im good with decent paced boss fights

I believe they've stated it's slower early/during campaign but you can still build speedy with gear (though not to poe 1 levels).

But i gotta be honest. Slowing down the campaign sounds fucking atrocious to me. PoE 1 campaign is not fast....

I worry about slower gameplay inherently means a lower ceiling on the power or "feel" of a build. A huge problem with Last Epoch is that you can get the feel for a build before finishing the campaign. Part of this is because of how stingy they are with movement skills, cooldown recovery, and to a lesser extent, attack/cast/movement speed.

To be fair, PoE does not telegraph how ridiculous the gameplay can get either.

I always hated doing the campaign in PoE but after playing D3 and D4 I changed my mind. Now it feels like a good ramp up journey and once you finish it you start the end game building.

But I can understand why people dont like it.

I find myself looking for info and videos all the time now. Just like I did when D2 was in development.

Early access should be fine, just hope it does not stay in that state for too long.

Haven't played PoE for two years, but looking forward to this. PoE extreme zoom was never something I loved, but it came with the package. I'm curious how different PoE 2 will be, especially past the first impressions and honeymoon phase.

I'm still kind of shocked more games haven't used procedurally generated tech like DRG to help with map burnout. Seems like the perfect solution for games like this.

I liked earlier PoE a lot up until about when Elder/Shaper influence went away and the new Atlas. Give me that old feel and Lioneyes Watch Music all day.
