It still ramps to 3 does it not or is it two? (Been a while, lol) Specifically your res gets cut once or twice during the 10 acts. So you could say there is still 2-3 difficulty levels but all self contained within the 10 acts.
Right it kinda does with the various points where you get nerfed but it doesn't specifically mention it iirc and you just keep going through the story, when it used to be like diablo and reset you and you had to redo the leveling 3 times, with shit like the bandits having their own rewards for each difficulty and stuff. Advantage of that is everytime the difficulty was bumped, you'd end up in the easy as fuck act 1. That is until they reworked act 1 and added a lot of deadly mobs and made the bosses harder.

If they want Hardcore to be popular again they need to do away with corpse explosion type shenanigans

Sweet jeebus it's cheaper than i expected.
Yea I was ready to blow $90. Might do that anyway if the skins are cool, I do need more stash tabs etc so I might as well get the currency with the supporter pack.

Bought a supporter pack this league. Still have most of the points left. I'm waiting for an interesting map device to go on sale. Of course I might have to use a new hideout pretty cramped.

30 dollars is lower than I expected for sure, if it comes with points as well I will almost certainly buy in......need something new to play anyway.

I'm still screwing with the stuff I got in the supporter pack this league. I didn't realise I got the steam powered keyboard keys. So I put them all over my hideout in case anyone visits and walks off the way point they hear it as they step on it. No rhyme, no reason and I can't hear at as I play with sound off. Decided to do it after reading all the people complain about the goblin pets making noise and hideout music. So there you go.

I know they said that your micro transactions are tied to your "account" so you won't lose them, but have they said anything about stash tabs and how they work? Will PoE2 have the same currency and stash tabs, or will they require buying entirely new ones?

I've only bought tabs for PoE. Have all the special tabs + 4?ish large tabs.

Not that I would mind buying more, certainly got my value out of the money I've spent, but just curious if they have specified it. I haven't kept up on the news, only remember when they first introduced the game.

Think we will know more Thursday but it sounds like most of the stash tabs will carry over although from PS5 to PC you may need to rebuy from scratch if you purchased on PC due to Sony being Sony.

I'd guess at the very least the standard and quad tabs SHOULD carry over.

They haven't gone in super details, some tabs likely will not exist anymore or maybe they'll be copied to a new tab type but yeah they might speak about it now that they're ramping up seriously into the PoE2 stuff.

I'd expect they'll just port them over if they go with selling tabs in PoE2 too, and if they don't(instead using the ingame currency to buy tabs like they do in other games for example) then it wouldn't matter much. I'd be surprised if they forced you to buy new tabs with money without porting the old ones tbh, like that'd cause a lot of sour reactions. I wouldn't mind since as you said I got my value out of my tabs already anyway but I also don't live in a country where a tab is like 2weeks of net salary.

Checked my transactions and ended up at $400 over the years.

I think $500 is a free key.

Im only at 200 or so but that's only over a year or two at most, I don't mind supporting GGG I just hope there's enough content to keep me busy for a month or two aside from just testing / finding bugs. Can see myself binging and then taking a break until more content trickles in to test.

Thirty bucks and I assume you get the 30 dollars worth of coins as well like every other bundle. Twist my arm to buy another quad tab and some skill effects.

If early access is the cherry on top, doesn't that mean, barring extreme prices, that it doesn't really matter what price they picked?

Demand curves are still going to be a thing. At present I personally am not planning on picking it up but that's far more to do with my disinterest in early access game play than the price point. Even as someone that is incredibly cheap thirty bucks is low enough for me to take note. I don't think I need any more tabs at the moment and there aren't any MTXs I really want or otherwise I'd hop in.

I'm not a big spendee in these optional type of games, but I'd say they would've definitely have had a hard cap of $90. And even then that's only because I really, really like GGG. I think $30 is fine, I honestly expected it to be somewhere between $15 and $60. The fact you store cash as well is nice because they have been throwing inventory management leagues at us in PoE1 and I could always use another quad tab for bullshit.

I remember paying $5 for the closed beta in 2011 to get in. Obviously that was a much smaller and probably unpolished game. But with PoE2 being a free game to begin with I'd just see this as paying $30 box price for POE2.

Fair enough, thanks for clarifying. I agree that $30 is relatively inconsequential even for a cheapskate. But I'm still trying figure out how that balances out versus scummy paid "beta" practices and a F2P game.

Yeah it makes sense to just wait and get it for free when it's finished and ready to be honest, but 30$ isnt much to throw down for support and something to play.

Getting the store points is also a nice cherry on top that most companies probably wouldn't even consider in 2024. Really was expecting 60+ to get in if you weren't already 500+ or a popular streamer. Still waiting for Thursday's reveal but I don't have many reasons to hold out personally.
