Energy shield works a bit different with bleeds and chaos damage in this game. For example you won't bleed unless you deal damage to life and chaos damage doesnt go through ES it deals double damage to it instead.

Damn that bitch surrounded by soldiers took a good 7 or 8 tries, couldnt figure out the timing when she did her crowd spear thingie, am still not sure how I beat her, I also got my first divine drop from a trash mob right after I killed her.

I got a late start... dear god am I hooked. Two deaths on Standard as a witch after just beating the Count.

Was loving the aoe // slam crush explosion undead skill but the nano second i put two and two together - Contagion + ED all the way. Unearth manual cast and skellies reserved on a sceptre to meatshield, they only need to delay enemies for a moment before ED melts their fucking faces off. Aoe Thorns for rushers.

The ED projectile itself 'hit' does way more damage than I expected, so at times I stand and haduken the last 10% of bosses.

It's so much more visceral and intense than most walking simulator ARPGs than I can overlook the bugs and bullshit that's to be expected at release. Fuck, I sound like a cracked out fanboy

Lets be honest though. if you just want Cold, +cast on freeze comet abuse. Stormweaver wins. -20% increased exposure, and the arcane surge line. stronger arcane surge means more mana regen, and cast speed. mana regen fuels EB and mind over matter to be immortal.

Chrono needs to dick around with recoup, or temp chains/aoe slow/hinder to 50% aoe, or time rift to reset mana/life.

Full hipster would be Xbow grenade chronomancer.

Game is awesome for sure, far from perfect but it's already pretty damned addicting. Lost track of time pretty much everytime I've played it. Really want to finish the campaign on my warrior to try out another class - I can already say I got my 60$ worth IMO.

For anyone that cares...

It took me level 19 on my warrior to beat the 1st act boss.

Once I got Leap Slam things started to click a tad.

The second boss was easy as hell, Reason being? Because I now have a full fuckin kit! Took me getting Sunder that all this shit is easy now. What a fuckin PITA Warrior is.

It is definitely the best possible control scheme right now.

You will need software like reWASD to make it work, I couldn't figure out how to get Steam to do it natively.

A joycon + mouse might also be worth playing with, but sounds like a great way to break a joycon.

You can immune every spear with dodge roll, it gives you a ton of iframes.
