Yeah no, that's 40 spirit (1 per 25 max life) so you get one more arsonist, possibly two if you were already close to another.

Always take dog first, the resist node is just bad. You put Fire Exposure and Strip Away on it and it just passively adds a nice chunk of extra damage to all the other minions. Resist node is pointless because there's basically nothing that would let you take max fire res up into the 80's while leaving LR and CR at 75. There's only one max res node convenient to Witch and it's +1 to all max res. Only other way to get just fire res is to stack +2 on a bunch of jewels and +3 on a shield (not available on focus either). If you can get +2 max fire res on some jewels that have ES% and minion dmg, great, but I would expect to pay 50+ex for each one and that's probably conservative. And the phys->chaos part of it is just terrible. Most people probably only have the 10% chaos res from side quest, maybe 25% at most if you get a couple random rolls. Chaos does double damage to ES so it's a negative in pretty much all cases for reasonably priced gear.

For the fourth ascendancy definitely take the life->ES node. If you have like 1600 life, that's 200 more max ES which should work out to about 1k actual ES at a cost of another 400 life reserved. Definitely worth it if you're stacking ES bonuses, which you absolutely should be as a witch. Kind of sucks since I originally though it wasn't going to be worthwhile, but after doing the math on it it's probably the only way I'm hitting 10k ES (before Grim Feast) so I guess I have to slog through one of the endgame bosses after all.

oh you're right, it's 1 spirit for each 25 health you reserve, I forgot about that. nevermind!

I wish they would steal a few things from D4. 1) Boss kill unlocks for shit like +resists and +spirit and +skill tree points should be account wide. 2) Make respeccing free.

not infernalist, not invoker, not titan, not deadeye. in order of most frequent to least, by eyeball judgement. infernalist is in a commanding lead for most hardcore.


rarest: witchunter, acolyte, blood mage, choronomancer, gem legionare, warbringer, stormweaver . in approximate order of rarest to more common. by eyeball judgment.

*theres probably someplace that actually breaks it down.

Stormweaver dominates softcore.

I'm not in the guild, only had the game for 2 or 3 days and just been dinking around solo a bit. I'm sure I can manage to kite myself through the zone to an exit if I tried (maybe a few attempts if I get a few unlucky surrounds), just mostly venting about how stupid the respawn system is. It's 10x worse than the occasional accidental respawn in town misclicks in PoE1 when you don't want to and it costs you a few seconds.

Okay, so does anyone have a good build for Deadeye that's not ball lightning that will likely get nerfed in a week? This is the problem I had with the cast on freeze stormweaver build I went with. Basically it's almost a given that it'll get nerfed, and I don't want to be in a situation again where I can't afford to respec.

Which means I need to find a build that's not "meta" but still capable.

But actually finding that build is basically impossible because everyone wants to go with the build that's going to shit on everything even if it gets decimated in a few days.

And I'm never going to be the person who makes my own build for this type of game.

I would think at some point they are going to have to shuffle some stuff around if nothing more than to get some ascendies actually played.

I think goonling is under rated right now and has a lot of potential, especially as they rejigger the passive tree and add more skills.

Its going to be like Scion where noone knows how to build one but to watch a guide but the build makers having really messed with it yet. My guess is its going to be overcapping skill levels by like 7 and reducing cost to make something really broken with minions.

Try this maybe? I assume with Ball lightning you were talking about Lightning Arrow, and while I dont think its going to be nerfed in the medium term its pretty Meta

I did and I found it lacking. Losing both ice/thunder herald and wind dancer evasion was a big drop in clear speed and therefore survivability and I didn't have nor wanted to invest in swapping my entire gear around to get +spirit to make a full commit. Plus even without darkness you don't die from a million cuts. You die because you got one shot from some cracked out white mob dropping some shit you can't see or on death effect you weren't paying attention to even with 4k-10k EHP ;[

I'm sure someone will find something to make it work though I'm just not that heavily investing in one char for EA.

Just watch the first few seconds of this video. This is basically what everyone is running. Even Lily mentions using Fubgun's build for leveling, which...his main build is now the "Rod & Ball Deadeye" build.
