Man was owning my second character's 3rd Sekhema last night, feeling good. Got great boons, full honour, some medium afflictions, and I click a boon shrine that also gives me an affliction. Gave me a boon that recovered honour in the boss room.

Also gave me an affliction that "removed all energy shield".

I am CI.

I managed to do 3 rooms with 1 hp and 1 honour, but the twins got a mega slam on me and I failed. I just ran another one and pounded it, but I thought it was pretty dumb/funny. IIRC in Sanctum that was like 50% less energy shield (which they now have 50% less defenses now). Imagine some hardcore guy blasting through, getting that, not paying attention and WHAM. Fucking dead.

Will say after getting good relics the trials are just monotony and hoping for more good luck than bad, but very doable. Fourth floor is still shit for a lot of builds. Oh, and the firepot guys are still instagibbing people.

CI as well, learned rather quick that you just can’t take unknown boons ever. I’ve done some farming runs on lvl 80 sekhema and it’s pretty good loot for the right builds.

Well, I am slowly going through endgame now.

I used my chunkiest T4 Waystone on a boss/delirium/corrupted Willow map, and was mobbed to death in seconds at the entrance, first death in endgame so far. What the actual fuck was that? When I did it again with all that juice gone, I STILL got mobbed at the entrance but at least survived.

How can GGG fuck up map design after 14 years? Mobs in elevated positions bombing you with projectiles, narrow, winding pathways, these layouts are completed dogshit. Like All The Maps We Avoided In PoE1 type of dogshit. Bramble Valley - get the fuck out of here? Cells/Dungeon? No thanks, I am not retarded. Shore - check. Coves, check. Racecourse, check.

I don’t think maps are all that fucked up. They’ve got a good base to improve on. They just need to carve out a niche for folks who like to juice 40 of the same map and run it over and over. That said delve was one of my favorite leagues (although oddly I never did it much after the league).

Praying this was a last-minute thrown together end-game to get EA started, if this is something they are seriously proud of I really don't understand that all I'll just go back to playing the first game.

Hey if you think about it they cant simply fix things season by season that they apparently addressed in PoE1 and they have 2-3 years worth of content and people sucking their cocks for look how they listen to the player base without ever having to life a finger really.

I didn't really agree too much with Zizaran and ds_Lilly's "review" videos and what they felt were the most major concerns, but I do agree with Subtractem's. this take is the closest to mine and what GGG needs to fix the most.

Yeah im pretty casual as far as these ARPG go these days and I lost interest about a week in. For me I think it just needs more time to brew. It seems too barren right now as far as skills, classes, etc... I dont mind the slow down game play, but im sure it bugs the shit out of die hard POE1 players like my kid, which said as much.

Are the stash's in some places busted for you guys, in the sense that quick stash doesn't work. Like the stashes in the Ascendancy trials just dump shit on the ground when I quick stash them, instead of y'know...putting them in the fucking stash box. The ones in the mains bases/camps all work fine.

Agree with his overall sentiments, hope GGG are watching/listening.

Stopped playing PoE1 (mostly SSF) around Delve I think, so many years ago, but after watching Kripp's armor video as well, it kinda blows my mind. I still remember the armor/life/melee character struggles from those days, and I'm like "what the fuck have you guys been doing all these years".

That problem is still front and centre here, and just one of several red flags in that video. Doesn't give me much hope.
It's probably the "even more forced" trading that will kill it for me if anything. Numerous high 80s and a couple of 90s in PoE1, and I managed to avoid it almost completely.

had that happen a few times, looked and saw someone reported it as a bug, but didn't see anything more on it.

Tried this on my lvl 26 monk and keep dying on the last boss. Typically get there with 1/3 honor and getting caught once is a GG.

How do I get relics?

They're just drops in the trials. Theres a few in the guild stash.

You run a couple of the things on even a couple of characters and you have more fucking relics than you can shake a stick at… the higher ilvl ones have some interesting effects on them. I guess they were hoping people would run this shit more than once but honestly after you finish the ascension bullshit I doubt anyone would do that as repeatable content very often because both formats are unenjoyable with very little reward because its an RNG fuckfest.

Anyways I’ll toss a few extra relics in the guild bank on the same tab we got the trials tokens are in.

I would like to try it,but dont feel running through the campaign again. Twice.
Its quite fast the second time around. And Monks with a few teink items crush it all.

But I think the main problem with campaign right now is the cruel part. Would feel nicer to run 6 different acts instead of repeating.

I still play, but a little less now.

My biggest gripe is the loot. I have multiple characters in their 30s and in all cases they still have a lot of their gear thats in their teens.

There is simply not enough loot, even when looking at vendors every time you level. There is not enough currency to craft good items consistently when you consider the RNG aspect of crafting. Its even rare to get a good base item to start crafting from, and most of the time because of the RNG nature, you end up just throwing it away after a few upgrades because you get shit stats.

It’s early access so hopefully it’s something they’ll work on before launch. In all ARPG I’ve played, you tend to replace you gear every 1-4 levels during the campaign. It gets slower as you reach the endgame because that’s when you start requiring extremely optimized gear.

The ghostwrithe interaction has to be a bug and is gonna get nerfed. You can use it with eldritch battery and have es that way too

I don't think this is a bug. Can't remember where I read/heard this but there are no conversion chains in PoE2. Conversions can only happen once and only the final (converted to) stat matters. I.E. If you convert fire damage to cold any increased fire damage from gear/passives no longer works, it does nothing. Same for ES/Mana/Life conversions. (Or at least thats the way I understood it, not sure if actually true)

So Eldritch Battery converts the ES you have from Gear to Mana, and Ghostwrithe Converted Life into ES but that ES cannot be converted further, so you still get the ES.

It's not like you get free ES with that interaction, you are cutting your life by as much ES as you gain, its just that Grim Feast exists so... heh.

There's no way around it, you have to trade. Low level crafting in PoE2 is a complete waste of currency, especially if you're still dabbling with classes/builds in the campaign like me.
If you have multiple 30s, you should have saved up quite a bit (unless you wasted it all). I would have preferred to play SFF like I mostly did in PoE1, but that's just a fool's errand here.

e.g. My monk had just hit 30 the last time I went "shopping", and for 2 Ex and a few Aug, I more than doubled my sheet DPS, and my clear speed/survivability in particular went up by way more than that. Might be a turn off in the long run, not finding your own upgrades, but PoE has always been this way. It's magnified in PoE2, and doubt we'll ever see significantly change.
