I have never had a shorter love affair with a game. From super high highs of 'this may be the best ARPG of all time" to "WTF why am I playing this" in record time. I'll come back when they work their shit out, which is probably going to be never.

Starting a new character made it way more fun for me......should hold me over at least until we see if they actually care about long-term player retention.

Made it to T9 Maps, progressing comfortably with the worst spec!

I think this is the point map sustain is a problem? Only got 1 T9 and 1 T10, all the previous tiers I've had a bunch of the next tier ready to go.

Took all the waystone upgrade nodes and only doing rare maps.

Just a guess but PoE 1 will probably get a warmed over redo of a previous league "if" they get around to it.

Ok fuck this retarded ass game. I'm done until they remove most on death effects. It's like these stupid fucking devs just don't want you playing melee and want you to have to dodge roll away from every single fucking rare you kill cuz who knows it might just fucking randomly be a death effect that 1 shots you through 10k ES. Fucking retarded.

I've not died to any the entire time I've been doing maps. Are they more prominent on later Tiers?

I'm instinctively dodge rolling away from rares on kill because the regular death effect looks like some kind of crazy blood explosion.

I use a different skill for trash clear and boss killing, the boss killer is ranged (Bow Shot) while the trash clear usually ends up being melee (Spiral Shot).

I'm playing the same ascendancy and have 4k energy sheild.

Anyone got a link to the build? Wanna see if I can stick this double Herald nonsense into what I'm doing with Spiral Volley.

Otherwise it makes no sense that you'd be dodge rolling away from every single rare you kill.

I'm very rarely dying in maps, maybe 3/50 bricked today and a few more doing Expedition or something after map completion.

I have a fairly tanky build I think.

Well, Mathil's been playing builds of questionable defenses yet big damages since PoE1 beta. Him exploding is not new.

Working my way through maps after coming back the one portal system is going to do me in. Playing Ruthless Hardcore-Lite raises the stakes but wears me down. I can't just do map map map map map map map while listening to an audiobook. I'm playing slower and more carefully which means progress is slower. Deaths make me want to log out. As a turnip I rely on repetion and practice to improve and PoE2 just isn't about all that bullshit.

It's not about him dying (well, a little). It's more about a breach being in the boss room of a Citadel boss, him insta freezing a Citadel boss (?) then him looting and getting killed by a telegraphed move that doesn't get bypassed just paused. I mean, it's a funny clip. I would've laughed too, it sucks losing a Citadel, but the hubris is great.

Shit I think I had 50+ deaths on warrior before I even got to maps, probably have 20ish in Act 2 on the monk, though I did try way to hard to rush assuming I could tank as well as on warrior, lol.

The large monkey in act 3 kept randomly one shotting me from off screen. I've got at least 20 deaths to that guy.....
