not sure if posted already but:
man this is a long 6 days. I'm trying to fill the time with something to play but I can't think of anything else heh
I have a feeling rolling a new char is going to be a fucking nightmare. It was bad enough in PoE1 having to do 5-10hrs of "gameplay" every new char, but I have a feeling it's going to be even worse in PoE2 and worse still when acts 4-6 come out.
Eh, yes and no. Less worrying about links now and more worrying about which support gems to choose for which skills, etc. I don't think the time difference there will be that huge. Not having to deal with trying to fix sockets/links while leveling will be pretty huge.
Only 2 out of 3 Witch Ascendancies are being released. Still a chance.i wish there was a nature witch, or something. I don't love its just necromancer again.
To be fair that's not a bad take, ascendancies definitely restrict what you can do in an efficient manner. It doesn't mean you can't, but like if you play Witch in PoE1, you're gonna have to do either an elemental based char(can be melee/archer) or an energy shield/dot char. If you try to do a phys slam witch, it's just going to mostly suck(I guess golem shit might make it less bad maybe). You can kinda make it work but it's just a vastly inferior build than picking marauder, duellist, ranger or scion. Templar I'm not too sure if there's good support for that I haven't played in a while(guardian maybe?) and shadow I don't think can make it very good either.Make one?
I don't understand people thinking that "classes" are clearly defined in this. Did you motherfuckers not play PoE1?
The new tree seems more much adapted to allowing you to "explore" other classes' areas than PoE 1 did.To be fair that's not a bad take, ascendancies definitely restrict what you can do in an efficient manner. Now depending on how it goes, Blood witch with Druid spells might work perfectly fine, but we won't know until they add Druid stuff(not at EA launch), and the 3rd witch ascendancy might also fit very well with it(assuming it's something like occultist again, there might be synergy with dot and nature poisony stuff).
Oh it's not minions specific really, but you're not playing Infernalist without fire stuff for example. Can be minions, spells or weapons, but you're not making a cold infernalist(at least it didn't look like it, again haven't seen the details). Blood mage looks like it'll work better as generic caster, so that'd work for a nature caster possibly, depends on what exactly is in the tree and how it works. They moved away from the "this is for x skills and that is for y skills" stuff. A lot more of these ascendancy is generalistic so they can be played with minions, DoT's, melee, arrows, etc..
I'm going to play a minion character and though the Infernalist has minion stuff, none of it really makes it look like it's mandatory. The Hell Hound (Summon Guardian V2) is cool and may be very powerful fully linked, but besides that and SRS it actually has normal class abilities like it's flame shit and it's demon form. The Blood Mage looks like it has basically nothing that screams minions to me.
I'm going Gemling Legionnaire hoping that gem quality is really good (maybe?) and the attribute thing means I can just stack straight hp or es hopefully without worrying about bullshit dex requirements for oddball supports. The additional 3 active skills could also be really helpful depending on how much we can fit in with Spirit costs.
No and doesn't seem like it will:Does PoE 1 currently have cross save between PC (web client) and Consoles? I read that PoE 2 will have it.
It's a Sony issue. No and doesn't seem like it will:

Actually this seems really bad, having cross play between PC/PS5 is great but not cross microtransactions makes it pointless? How would that even work with stash tabs!?
Luckily I have stash tabs on both already but would have been nice to double up.
