There are skills that bosses only use at range (Scorpion boss Trial 3 Sekehema doesn't do shit besides tailswipe and claw if you hug her tits). But most of these range builds have giga damage so they don't even notice.
Play a range build WITHOUT giga damage and you'll learn trash is easy, bossing isn't.

Damn and I was annoyed when I clicked 1 divine instead of an exalt on a item...I just spam clicked divine orbs on maps instead of alchs before realizing it and can't tell if it actually used them or not but I'm unwilling to try again and don't remember how many I had and I'm so glad this is EA.

Still playing, but the usual suspects will probably end it soon. Not surprised, expected it really.
- My infrequent trading in PoE2 has so completely trivialised the value of loot drops (what little there is), that SSF here makes even LESS sense than it did 6 years ago when I quit PoE1.
Everything gets sharded, and grinding for different coloured "coins" has already become as boring as it ever was.
- Traditional Melee (monk doesn't count) continuing to suck even harder that it did in PoE1, and I've zero faith that GGG will ever be able to resolve it, or even cares to do so.
That's about it. Still had a lot of fun with the new toys, and some really cool Boss fights. Kudos to the Art and Music teams though, game looks and sounds fantastic.

Kalguur deleting melee totems and buffing almost every melee skill while also introducing a revamped Gladiator and Warden was such a step forward. Having most of the bottom/bottom-left side of the tree be horrible along with Warrior just doesn't make a whole heck of a lot of sense given the state of Ranger, Sorc, Witch and Monk.

You can put a 2H weapon with high damage(not dps) in your weapon swap. Then, assign herald of ice and lightning to that weapon set only. It will do damage based on that weapon, not your main one. And you get your reservation back.
Most notable for unarmed builds that would otherwise have shitty weapon damage for herald chaining and have to use cast on freeze - freezing mark, which is not as reliable.
EDIT: actually, not sure on lightning, but I did test ice.
