I dont have much desire to play any longer at the moment because I know the balance curve will probably swing hard and wide and make any progress made into characters obsolete.

Ill wait until the next major patch and then go again until its clear another balance patch is on the way.

I did it!!! The Zarokh fight took probably 5+ minutes, but I completed it. Guess I got lucky with boons and such, but it was actually a fun fight. If I ever try and farm it at least I know I won't worry about the points anymore.

I have a few more 75-77 Djinns that I'll throw in the guild bank tomorrow along with the decent relics I used.

So glad that shit is over with, if it was just the 4th floor it would be fine, but starting from scratch every time blows.

Yea I think I'm done until the patch. I really like the game basically before end game. So I'm hoping they fix a lot next patch I guess.

It's fair to treat this like league where you just play a couple of chars then you take a break for 3months until the next "league", in this case major patch. They said they're doing a stream on sunday(monday in NZ I guess) to talk about what they're changing, but I assume they'll change even more as they go anyway.

Not aure if we should expect anything major, it would be cool if they added / changed a good amount of end game stuff, but I don't see it happening this quick.

heh i'm sitting here fucking with my build. for 4th floor djinni bullshit boss. yea i fucked up the clock thing i think. i even had the move bonus blessing i think iw as avoiding the tokens thinking they would explode when clock expire.

Got a new wand with chaos bolt instead of siphon so i can ping away at the boss when my mana is in dogshit mode (and to heal life). it's possible i could do life-casting on hexblast and alternate. but lifetap on a blood mage suuuuucks. 286 life to cast hexblast heh. i recon i should bring a movement power incase i do not get the run speed thing. hmm

"Late February."

If that means we'll get the announcement at the start of the month and the actual league launch at the end or if it means we're getting the announcement trailer at the end we don't know.

Also the chances of that not getting pushed to early March are approaching zero.

This is pretty much where I am at as well. Game overall is fun and defiantly worth the $30 I threw at it and honestly I feel like up to even $100 you get your money worth. At the moment though just want to see where they go with the game and how they address some of the glaring issues.

If they don't go full retard I can see this being genre defining for a long time, if they go retard then why even move on from POE1.

Yeah 2 characters to 87 and just finished my last trial on monk, think I'm done soon as well unless the announcement Sunday changes things. Hopeful they keep improving the endgame though.

I’m playing pretty casually. An hour here or there. I reached a point where making ED/cont just absolutely sucked balls. That skill is nothing like its glory days now. swapped to minions and had a few minor issues until I got my mindset back into PoE interactions. That said I’m enjoying minions a lot. Definitely times I feel desperate waiting on them to revive, but I’m hopeful you can find that as a stat on gear. Haven’t looked yet as I’ve been mostly SSF-ing. I do miss convocation a lot but I think I see the overall more interactive design they’re aiming for. Or I’m playing it wrong! Not using a build guide.

My original goal was a build based on demon form. I had settled on a blasphemy/hex blast approach. Still might retool back to that or re-roll again.

Any “you gotta try it ascendencies or skills?”

If they fix the "Minions cannot pass" issue, I think they are in a good spot. Just make Minions able to pass through each other. I can pass through them. The Tree for Witch needs a little work. There is no strong compelling reason to go for the 4th tier. I have a bunch of the tests for it. I even have some of the 10 level ones. I just do not feel like going through the time of it. I finally got a good main hand for my Minion build. It does make a good difference. Plus 4 to minions with a nice spirit and allies attack is sweet. I was surprised to find that a Plus 5 to minions skill exists. I will not be affording that...ever? Now I need a good helm with + rarity to items. That is a skill hat I hope they just erase. I hate equipment that has pluses to items dropped.

In the case of most streamers and youtube content creators, 2 weeks equals 14 days at 12 to 14+ hrs played per day to obtain that.

160 - 200 hrs /played for most people would take at least 4 to 6 months of constant playing.

I think the point is it's indicative of the disparity between SSF and trading. To be honest if this game doesn't allow SSF to have a good experience I'm just going to stop playing. I have never taken to the trade system. I play ARPGs to kill mobs, get loot and all that, not to fuck around on auction houses all day.

MF as a stat can exist. but not in PoE in its current state. The problem is it basically double dips. if maps, and league shit were not themselves tied to MF, then MF would be fine.
the trade off between dps/survival gear, being able to do more content, versus the content you do, giving better rewards is fine.

the problem is better dps/survival gear can't actually do more content, because that content is locked behind drops and thus MF..
