So are spirit gems stupidly rare or something? im still trying to get one to drop and im lvl 18

I'd guess its about 10/1 for skill gem to spirit gem ratio.

Campaign has gaurenteeed as noted.
act 1. Ritual site/king of the mists is +30 spirit, and a spirit gem.

act 2. lost city tomb is always a spirit gem, once.

I dont even mind the auction house system to a point, as I am not required to interact with it...but if I need it, its there.

However, I dont like that these games with online economys have to be balanced around the people that play 14-16hr a day, or people that run bots 24/7. All it does is fuck over the common player.

To that end, I completely agree that a solid SSF is necessary, and I believe Last Epoch had a great system with the Circle of Fortune concept.

Even PoE1 which doesnt have any "bonus" for playing SSF there is enough ways to actually craft (not fucking PoE2 crafting which is gambling), that with enough knowledge SSF is completely viable. If harvest, beasts, syndicate, Rog, essences, a real atlas tree, scarabs, Scours, alts, div cards, fossils, ships (which I dont think is coming back) and a crafting bench were not in PoE you would get PoE2 where SSF is not viable, not fun, and super lame.

Yea People like Ben, Alk and Steelmage do it but they play for ungodly amounts of time (and even Alk has moved on, and Steel has flat said he can get to like 1/6 of the damage as trade league with no options to fix that). I think Ben at this point is making bad builds cause he is bored.

I'm sure any number of us can give you some extras if you want one. Guild bank probably has quite a few as well.

also appears there is a way to get filters to work on xbox, not tried it

i still need a guild invite though lol

i absolutely think MMO economies were better when the servers were subdivided, so the chinamen and ruskies farming had to be divided per server.

also i'm doing the trail of sekamah again. i got b amboozled into the "monsters move faster" node and the scorpian was both an absolute nightmare moving 25 percent faster....and some what 'easier' in that it spent less time underground with debuffs falling off of it. weird.

biggest oof ever. i was indeed invulnerable. i calmly swapped gems in the middle of the fight to try to see if i could poison him (spoilers he's basically immune to status). whittled him down. got to the clock. grabbed "all the mguffins" easily, but i couldn't see one right next to the portal. saw it at the last second. ran for it. one of the portals spit out a 'fuck you go slow. and i died pixels from grabbing it haha

I’m a filthy casual so I appreciate trade. I usually hit a few enough crafts or decent drops I can trade up to clear all content on 2-3 hours a day play.

thats how i roll. rather than grinding and killing for 10 hours to try to get the exact stat set...i spend like 10 exalts. and go about my business.

TBH that stash is what I could earn in a few hours of mapping minus a few outliers that might take a couple of days (who picks up 2k+ augs even in SSF smh) with minimal gear investment and zero rarity. So he was either using a ton of it, doesn't know what he is doing or knows what he is doing and is baiting. The lowest of the low end of mapping T15s is ~30-50 ex hour. With OK set up it's ~1-2 div hour. With great set up 5+ div hour. I'm just talking RAW CURRENCY equivalents with minimal rarity. This assumes you aren't fucking around, can clear efficiently and aren't looting and IDing every trash item that drops. There are a dozen+ of builds capable of this with minimal gear investment which means there are dozens of builds viable in SSF to do so. Yes you can have bad luck for some items, but I imagine a lot of the people saying that aren't doing 8-10 T15s an hour when they play or definitely not doing juiced breaches that drop so much crap that it takes you 15 minutes to loot raw drops. It's self sustaining as well. I have not bought a T15 or precursor tablet since like week 1 and have a quad stash full still.

There are a lot of flaws in this game, but people being disingenuous due to poor play and/or lack of knowledge doesn't help anything.

Now if you want to argue that things should be tuned for the new person or more casual player then sure, but I doubt that is going to happen. Remember most people quit PoE1 before finishing the acts and they didn't give a fuck.

If you want to argue they should put more effort into SSF in general, then hell yeah I'm all for it as it's my favorite mode. But I hate seeing people bait the game experience when you can literally go on twitch and youtube and see builds blasting and making bank including SSF players. What is stopping you/others from doing the same thing?

In other news I finished the last class/ascendancy to 75+, got all 8 points and was doing T15s. I used molten blast to level and it was horrible. Pretty sure this was the second longest campaign finisher behind my monk. When I could swap to Hammer of the Gods/Stampede it was game changing. Very viable for mapping/low bossing, but definitely not great overall. Just use something braindead like spark while leveling if you too feel the need to meme a melee chrono.



Now to make more meme builds...
