Kinda seems like maybe a small chance that 0.2.0 could potentially land in the next couple weeks. Sunday is the final race so dropping it the week after seems kinda ideal timing if they could pull it off, if not I would imagine they certainly want it out the week after and still be ahead of Last Epoch new season on the 2nd.

They said late March. I know they've pushed shit back, but I'm pretty sure they can't do that anymore so it'll just mean it's happening in March with less added if they have to.

Wouldn't surprise me if they go broke before they even finish the game at this point.
New revenue must have slowed to a trickle given their recent performance, and even the GGG faithful must be struggling to believe that anything compelling is on the horizon.

I think their big miscalculation was trying to use the same team for both games, and keep having content created for both.

One of them is going to end up neglected, and I think in this case, both will suffer because of it.

I played Last Epoch when it was in early access even before they had many art sets due to downtime during covid. You could see progress on a monthly basis, while here...im seeing little to no progress at all.

Yeah I'm hoping for a miracle whenever the .2 patch comes out, but expecting a failure.

I still don't understand why they just keep porting over mechanics from POE1 if they want them to be two separate games. More options are always welcomes but do they not have any NEW ideas? Towers are one of the few new things and they are terrible as is the whole new atlas system.

Or they had their biggest payday ever with early access sales, then the normal people went to play something else after getting their monies worth and will be back next patch.

You know how LGBT are 3% of the population but take up a disproportionate amount of online spaces and complain constantly?

You have to take a step back and think if you are representative of most gamers or even most of the spending power in the game.

I don't have any stats so this is speculation from me, but I think it's speculation from you too.

I bet Phrecia did well too.

Made me laugh, but given my post count average of ~ 3 per week, that's a stretch. Just a regular 97% representative gamer with a healthy disposable income who's not giving this mob another dime. Jonathan needs to go. Take your pick, he can be either the architect or the fall-guy for this mess, but his/GGG's credibility is completely in the toilet right now.

Just for fun, looking at the versioning... December EA 0.1, Mar/April 0.2... they're on track for 1.0 in early 2027. lol

Well lets see my little retard....

PoE2 was announced to be in active development in 2019.
Baldurs Gate 3 was also teased to be in development at E3 in 2019

PoE2 Early access became available in Nov 2024.....hmm that took a while
Baldurs Gate 3 early access became available on uhh October 6, 2020

PoE2 has not had a single major content patch in early access since Nov 2024 (coming up on 4 months) and prob wont see full release until 2027 making dev time 8 years
Baldurs Gate 3 released and no DLC confirmed on August 31, 2023

SO yea I would say GGG is dropping the ball a little bit. By the time this shit is playable past campaign I'll be seeing the credits roll on the last part of the FF7 remake and SE is SLOW AS FUCK.

But hey I am sure in the next 3 years they will figure out maps, its not like they have any inspiration to go off of so they gotta start from scratch right?

Hey man they dont wanna upset Timmy who just finally hit maps 4 months in with a reset.

I still cant believe they worried about the economy a month into early access. that shit should have been resetting every 2 weeks with drop balance changes constantly.

So BG3 was in EA for 3 years and opened with I think 1/3 of the game.

PoE 2 has been in EA for 3 months and opened with 1/2 the game. They have 2 years and 9 months to keep pace with BG3.

I'm not sure why time in alpha is relevant or angering you, you didn't pay for that and wasn't forced to play nothing else while you waited. Obviously they were working on PoE 1 leagues which slowed PoE 2 development down.

The question should be if the content released is adequate for the cost and comparable to other EA offers in terms of how much of the game is playable. It clearly is, people, even some complaining, put 100s of hours in.
