My bad, I didn't think to check steam charts. I was inferring it from comparing it to PoE2's 0.1.0 launch. I've had to block so many tourist content creators from my youtube feed. I didn't have to do that at all for LE's release. It gave me the impression that nobody was playing it.

Yes they do. LE was a massive success at launch, EHG has just dropped the ball pretty badly since. This new season and the content within it does look very promising though.

all-time peak

That is pretty good, don't get me wrong..

This was their last league start though. average/peak.

certianly a success for them in general. but, I doubt s2 now will break much over 100k. I think it will beat that 70k, due to GGGS screwups. But, that rapid turnaround GGG is doing for things specifically mentioned will help GGG. (I don't like its ONLY things people have specifically called out in streams/interviews. they don't read the feedback forum at all. Nevermind all the stupid mistakes that never should have been made in the first place.)

Given the 0.1 sales and amount of people playing why not stay the course? Zero Point Two launches and recent reviews on Steam down to mostly negative, lots of negative content from a variety of streamers, player numbers nowhere near original 0.1 launch numbers and those people you do have didn't give you 29.95 again to be there. Well shit. I guess it's time to bust out basic functionality like "minion death timers are less crushing" and "I guess we'll let you change your ascendancy." A tab on the gemcutting page that shows you what skills you actually have? You spoil us sir.

They want to go in the right direction for a while it's fine by me but I'm pretty sure that Jonathan's estimate that it would take two weeks to iron out 0.2 and get back to work on PoE1 is going to get blown out the ass.
Glad they are responding to feedback. Not so glad they can't make some of these changes otherwise. Also worth pointing out that a lot of said feedback was given in a less riotous manner in 0.1.0.

I agree that PoE1 devs likely still cannibalized for the foreseeable future.

So, wtf were they doing for the past 4 months?

This. This infuriates me to no end.

That and how quickly everyone is going to praise the changes as they come and glaze GGG, like they shouldn't have already been implemented in 0.1 let alone this new update.

This is a literal abusive relationship. Hey, at least he stopped hitting me. Well, he doesn't hit me AS MUCH. Or as hard. Life is good.

I say this as a multiple-thousand-hour War Thunder player, where the studio milked the player base SO HARD, and pushed the envelope so far that there was a rebellion, a Steam rating collapse, and Gaijin was forced to finally implement changes that ACTUALLY made the game significantly better and more accessible. I have some trauma education.

And while I watch this absolute GGG shit show progress, I know that my preferred game fades more and more into the sunset. Praise him for his "design prowess" all you want, I think Jonathan is the worst thing to ever happen to GGG. I can't believe I actually miss Chris and his long manifestos on trade.

I dunno bros I'm still in blackpill camp and I'll tell you why. Jonathan isn't that guy. His design philosophy seems to be too rigid and his personality doesn't seem right for input/criticism and debating points of view.

I got this feeling at the end of Legion. By all metrics legion was an amazing expac, but it wasn't built by Hazikosta. However his design decisions on gating legendaries and alt unfriendly mechanics really left a sour taste in my mouth. The final straw was when he put in the legendary shop at the pre patch to the next expac. It's like you admit the system is good but went so long without having it because of a design philosophy of "you must suffer in order to feel dopamine" that seems to plague too many game designers.

Got flustered during a talk with Ziz.

as I said, theres alot of direct response to the ziz stream. but nothing for the MOUNTAINS of feedback in the feedback form. none of the bug reports. none of the reddit feedback.
And so much of this shit, should never had been made in the first place.

shit like, items displaying their Teirs. t7 (1-8) ilvl78 t7max

or, how about ascendancy skills quality. or unspeccing ascendancy skills eating supports.

This was shit reported back in .1 within a week.

Whenever Bex left, it seems like they didn't bother having anyone replace her because they just wanted a more direct line of communication from the players to the devs, but the downside of that is that they just got too busy to ever go check reddit/feedback forum/youtubers.

Maybe they need to hire another community manager again, so that they have someone who can wade through the ocean of bullshit to get concise, relevant, positive feedback to present to the developers and designers.

The only way to cure Jonathan and GGG of this shitty design theory he/they have about this game is not to play their shit for a while. And maybe they will pivot. And if not, just dont fucking play it.

Do that. But also review bomb the fuck out of them on Steam. Game devs completely live/die by that nowadays. It's a MASSIVE part of their KPIs. See how quickly they started with the hotfixes once the recent reviews swapped to "mixed"?

I'm glad I decided to wait until shadow is implemented. Even watching streams of 0.2 is boring, having to hit white mobs 15 times while flailing around like a retard doing summersaults is zzzzzzzz.

I understand that they don't want the game to degenerate into a walking AOE sim like POE1, but they went too far in the other direction.

I'm fine with the bosses being set up so you have to do the mechanics. Them wanting you to push numerous different buttons to clear packs blows.

I'm on PS5. No graphical issues at all except once last league in the underwater city in a3. It had sparkles and rain.

Otherwise console is fine. Make sure to link your Sony account to your poe account, which gives you access to the trade site and the PC item filters.Yeah
Don't get me wrong I haven't experienced really any slow downs just some weird "features" the bit I have played so far. Defiantly a lot harder than PoE1 but tbh I don't know how hard PoE1 was at this stage in development. It is nice to just chill on the couch and play PoE1 or 2 and I don't find the controller that much of a hindrance as it would be in an RTS for ex... Starcraft 64 10/10 game!

What am I missing, how do you get the 7th and 8th point for the map bosses, 9 and 10 as well. I did a t16 map on a irridated and beat the boss and didn’t get the book and I only have 6 points, I have +3 difficulty to map bosses as well.
