Think I was 18 on my warrior at the end of Act 1, maybe even 19. I didnt farm zones but I did make sure to do most of the sode quest stuff before finishing. Only had to clean up 1 or 2 after beating the Count.

Am currently 25 in Act 2 and probably nowhere near the end....can easily see being level 50 before finishing the acts for the first time.

Anyone have a good method of making decent resist gear? I'm already taking a ton of damage to certain attacks, and have to imagine Act 3 is going to come with another penalty. Drops for my character have been few and far between so I think crafting is the next thing to try.

You can't "make" anything. Its total dumb luck what you get while "crafting".

This game is regressive in every way.

Kinda underwhelmed. Lack of drops/crafting mats makes gearing via that method unattainable. Lot of people have said it, but you kinda get locked into a halfway decent weapon/gear early in the game cause you just can't find anything else. The ascendancy trial being a sanctum mechanic from POE1 is just kind of insulting considering how cool the lab was. Also sanctum mechanic is ass and should have be nuked from poe1 to begin with. Have went into a zone without some of my skills because, due to the new skill window, if you swap gear with stats its much easier to not notice you just pulled off a stat you needed to run some gems. Super easy in POE1 when half your gear goes red due to stat requirements not being met for inserted gems. Lot of other little peeves like not being able to individually set skills to attack while stationary seems like a step back.

Have to agree with this feeling a little bit Ruthless 2.0. Kinda sucks killing a boss and getting a blue, and maybe an aug orb.

that might just be first ascendancy. each one is going to be a different mechanic.

My Chronomancer came online well atm. Frost wall is working just about how it wanted.
Can spam the HELL out of it, with the 33% chance for no CD to be consumed, letting met cast, over and over.
Slaughtered the act 2 boss. he couldn't even move. just ice bomb and frost wall over and over.

when cast on larger enemies it each shard under them explodes. multi-hit. shreds bosses. trash however just gets pushed out of the way. takes 2 ice bombs to explode them. so, need comet or maybe eye of winter. we'll see.

btw. since bosses are not immune to chill/freeze, and its action speed. freeze magnitude is godly for any cold mage.

Also, respec costs way too much gold. I think this game will fail to hook the casual market, and the barrier to entry here in version 1.0 is much higher than poe or d4. Love some of the stuff they’ve done, really dislike others. Will see how this evolves, but high respec plus punishing story content and no loot drops is not a recipe to get people dumping cash in the store.

As for all the negativity, definitely submit feedback. This is early access, so complain complain complain about the shitty aspects.

Finally got to spend my shekels. Expanded the guild size to 100 members, so invite your mother's brother's dog if you want. Also bought a few tabs, all the unique ones and a few others. Will fill it up with more quads unless someone tells me that is dumb.

Went through the posts I hadn't read and invited everyone that I saw. If you still want in, please post here or in Discord again. If you were offline, I'm not sure where it would show up, but maybe check in socials?

"Oh cool, that's a bit different. A souls game with ARPG elements. I'll play that."

And after playing it through:

"Shit that was rough but fun, pretty good game. Lots of interesting interactions."

Me playing a game called Path of Exile 2 from Grinding Gear Games:

"Fucking Christ they took a step backwards in literally every regard. Dont think I'm even gonna finish the campaign and get to end game. This is not what I thought I was paying for. Guess now I know why there was such a tight lid on this piece of shit"

I finished Act3 but theres no fucking way I'm doing that again on Cruel. That's it for me

I don't disagree.....actually enjoying the game so far being halfway through Act 2, but doing it multiple times each league seems crazy. Am sure they will tweak values and adjust things, plus I'm sure within a few weeks someone will get fully to end-game in like 5 hours, but not me!

Thinking I'm stuck with Warrior for the time being unless my wife makes a char so I can make a 2nd to play with her. Game is still very fun to me so far but the drops are dogshit, barely got anything I could actually use and it sucks.

Edit - suck my dick - third try to 2% health and got stuck in a corner and mobbed - even ice nova couldn't save me. This really IS Dark Souls.

Edit 2 - I can deal with masses of adds OR the boss, but not both. Either I get mobbed and die from a thousand cuts, or focus the adds, and die to a boss attack from across the arena. Sorry, I am frustrated.

Why can I not allocate a skill point to this node? It is just +5 any attribute but it says requirements not met.

*edit, got it. Guild chat helped. Didn't realize selecting the stat and applying the skill point was a 2-step process.
