Well yes but titans can stack es and evasion better than most ascendancies. Especially ES. They get shitloads of % from the small nodes on the tree with almost no travel.

I mean he was talking about the atlas before it was revealed and it never appeared in a closed Alpha / Beta. I know for a fact the feedback from those about melee was bad from those and they just flat ignored it then nuked the only skill that did damage.
Who knows, I mean for $30 I certainly has wasted money on games i played for far less time so its fine, even though it will be F2P at some point, I basically just paid for MTX points or a waystone tab (you know it wont be the same as the map one so you have to buy it again lmao)
If they look like they are going in a good direction in their first couple patches post break it would be a good sign. Just nerfing everything is stupid.

Only time I've been tempted to try a Quin build lol, I am sure it could be iterated to actually be a good build but the skill looks silly and fun.

I mean, you'd just use something like explosive shot for clearing and find a way to stun/freeze bosses so you can get a plasma blast or two off and let DoTs do the rest.
And if you freeze the boss first you can use those giga "consume freeze" supports like Frostfire and Biting Frost.

They just need to fix Minion corridor issues. Really sucks to run into a room only to have all of your minions waving you good bye. I do not really see a reason to do anything about them. They are nice but they are slower than other builds because of ..minions.

How many of you have put any effort at all into theorycrafting ways to make melee/maces work?
One person did the Chronomancer Hammer build, that was cool.
I feel like the streamers have gone for the low hanging ranged fruit and people are waiting for someone to make a build guide and do the work for them.
I've had a lot of success just doing my own thing.

Carn, Ben and OneManaLeft have all played maces and none of them were able to make a build that actually worked well and was fun to play. Ben gave up on it much earlier because of how terrible they are but Carn and OneManaLeft suffered through how terrible it was for... reasons. Its even painful to watch.
The only good mace build is the totem build using two +7 two handers with giants blood. But thats a totem build.
I mean... you could make a herald build that is procced from mace kills but thats not a mace build, its a herald build.

If you want to see a streamer do Titan can watch cArn is up to lvl 98 now and it looks boring as shit cause it is. It "works" but its slow. Slow is a major downside in this game, why do that when you can zip around and clear screens with max rarity. So yea they can nerf screen clear and zipping and make everyone "slow" but with all on the on death shit its still better to be ranged and ranged skills dont have major CD's or wind up times.
Their entire philosophy with maces is broken. If its supposed to be slow then yea it should clear the entire screen, but not only is it slow its limp. My chronomancer worked cause I could chain a 20 second cooldown, but why should the fucking WARRIOR class be weaker.

This was the 4chan thread I referenced a while back but couldn't find.
The worst thing about all this was they basically gave up on melee in poe1 (actually openly admitted to this in a video) and said they'd fix it in poe2 and some how made it worse all while taking a shit in our cheerios.
Yeah I can't say I didn't get my money's worth and I still haven't played a ranged build so that would probably be another 50 plus hours enjoynent as-is. I just hope they make changes that get me to come back otherwise I'll stick to the first game here and there.
Well, I am of the mind to think that this early release being so popular will move the game forward in the right direction.
There are 500k+ people playing it, and darn near every melee player has the same thoughts and opinions of how bad it is.
I'm glad they released this a year early so that they can get a majority of the problems worked out.
I wast a huge fan of PoE 1, but 2 has been a blast minus a few glaring issues. They have a very solid base to build on, that's for sure.
I hope they take a lot of feedback that they are getting and figure a way to fix the issues, while still being able to continue their vision of what the game should be.

Yea, armor just sucks ass and mace skills in general are not responsive enough imo.
I feel like my clear is pretty good, as I can generally instagib anything up to t12 including bosses and almost every rare, but you really feel how armor is not great when you get that high which is my major objection. Armor just hits a breaking point where it immediately becomes completely useless rather than gradually falling off in effectiveness. The math feels really fucky, and it’s really hard to want to dedicate the autism into playing perfect enough to avoid literally everything when the skills generally don’t feel great to use outside of a couple in particular that combo well.

Yea the zones from water ways to the doryani zone are just brutal. One of the reasons cruel feels so easy is because of those zones.
