Neat. You can dodge/evade/block charges nowadays but yeah that was annoying.

There should be coins to spend on cosmetics shit on your account, unless you spent it already. If it's not there I guess you need to contact support, but they might be overworked atm. Otherwise they're very nice about fixing this kind of shit from what I read.I gave these guys like 50-60 bucks, whatever it was back in the day. Weren't we supposed to get some coins or some underpants of juciliousness or some shit?
Did you already spend your currency on more stash tabs or anything? I donated like $50 about a year ago, and immediately bought a crapload of custom stash tabs, and I still have them all. Think I have something like 20 tabs...I gave these guys like 50-60 bucks, whatever it was back in the day. Weren't we supposed to get some coins or some underpants of juciliousness or some shit?

Not really, that's how the developer makes their money, by selling armor & weapon cosmetic effects/graphics, among other purely cosmetic things.Does the gear get "cooler" looking later on? Are there armor sets/etc?
The look and feel of this game in the first half dozen levels really sucks. First time I played I didn't like it at all.Think I'm just tired of point click games. Got to level 5 and just logged off.
This game has some of the blandest sound effects ever.
Definitely explains it, cheers for that. Heading home shortly to tinker with, but I was definitely just thinking of banking the currency until later levels. On orbs, the orb you're talking about(augmentation iirc but forgot) adds a magic mod to a magic item(which is blue, yellow is rare). However magic items can only have 2 mods, one prefix and one suffix, you can actually see it in their names. Rares can have up to 6mods, 3prefixes and 3 suffixes, however in that case you can't see which mods you have so you have to guess. Anyway for magic items you'd need one that doesn't have the full mods for augment to work. It's mostly useful when you're crafting stuff like flasks and maps.
For example you have a white quicksilver flask, you use 4(5? been too long) glassblower baubbles on it to increase it to 20% quality, then you use a transmute to make it magic(blue). It gets random mods, one or two. If the mods aren't what you want, you use an alteration to get another random set of mods. Sometimes it generates with only one mod, and it's a mod you want, for example Perpetual Flask(more charges gained). That's when you use augment to roll a suffix, for example Adrenaline(movement speed buff). But if you don't get adrenaline, you alt it again, and keep doing that. So augments are only really useful when you're alting stuff, you get only 1 mod and you like it so you augment for a 2nd mod.

Old thread but still relevant. Overall though you shouldn't be using most of your currency until later on, as it becomes more "valuable" when you make better items than to make newb stuff. There's exceptions and if you don't plan on playing a long time then might as well use them.
