Basic thing to remember. you do not need to grab, ID, or sell everything you find. Keep gems. and currency items.
Only id a blue, if you plan to use it. or late game, understand how it relates to which orb shards you will get and need.
ID most yellows. early game. later there is some reason to not id them all.

key for a new player. its a bit complicated.

Armor orbs will vendor into ID scrolls. early game, those ID are probably more rare/useful to you, then armor scrolls. Late game, those armor orbs are valuable.

You can start your build by taking all the health and chaos resist nodes reachable by your class and figure out builds from there iirc

Then, let the build ideas come to you for something fancy on a new char

Started this again, I am on the invasion league. Made a ranger named Mybeansss will look you guys up tonight if on the same league.

I really like the rush of doing HC but it's as much knowing how to deal with de-sync as it is knowing how to play the game. My last few deaths in HC modes were due to desync around flickerstrike mobs so I kinda swore it off.

yeah I have a G13 typing /oos every 45 seconds or less depending on the day, they really should just make it a hotbutton.

Its just not worth it imo on HC when you get in your 60s and really have invested into a toon and maps. I mean even on softcore you lose an hour or more as you level of grinding for a death which is enough to make me want to beat my dog sometimes.

The "invasion" mobs add a variety to the game and always fun trying out new builds, dieing just means I get to continue on as normal with chance of cool unique. I normally don't even touch HC but I like how they handle it in PoE. Any league other than invasion that has giant holes in the ground that lead to zones with added effects to include higher % of loot.

Ambush has the strongboxes and corrupted areas, just started up again so not too sure what HC has. Last go around it was an extra affix on HC mobs including one that made them loot pi?atas.

HC has "invasion"
which is basically random bosses just out in the world. like those corrupted area bosses, you might just randomly cross one.

Iirc, strongboxes are going to be default.

given the success of the 2 week invasion AND ambush. I wouldn't be surprised if all the features get added to the base game.
Invasion, rogue exiles, ambush, corrupted areas, etc. its all great, and should just be there all the time.

lol ok sounds good. I should be on but I may need to remake my guy cuz I went like all physical damage and it seems most people recommend Marauders go life/tank. Oh well, I'll see how it works out.

Hardcore all the way, rubber banding or not (which I don't even really experience). If my character dies I immediately delete them. You all need to put on your big girl panties.

I'd like to group up with people, either making new characters or w/e. I'm not much of a solo player. I like to destroy lots of stuff with friends! Not sure if there are like optimal group setups or what not, but I assume there is.
